   | america doomed? i cant help but wonder if america is doomed. perhaps democracy doesnt work in a society as free as ours. i wonder if america just got too big. red states vs blues. liberals vs conservatives....i know that people have always had different ideas on politics but in america there is literally a fight on every level of society. morals from god vs inner self, abortion vs life, gay marriage, welfare, education, racial issues, religion. i honestly have more allegience toward texas than i do toward the rest of the us. toward the south than the us as well...i actually wish texas was its own country...as least then i would feel like i had a few of the same common interests with its citizens...am i the only guy here that has these views? | ||||

We can all disagree and (the sane ones) will not kill each other. That is why political correctness is possibly one of the most damaging trends ever for America. Under the guise of anti-discrimination, the Politically Correct, and the Media are slowly eroding Free Speech, freedom of the Press and is overall capitulating to the whims of the minority not the majority as it was meant to be. One needs not look much further than 9-11-2001 to see the way America pulls together when a crisis occurs. America for all it's faults, is a family, a family that treasures it's lifestyle and freedoms. Much like any family, the siblings will sometimes bicker and beat the living shit out of each other, but usually Blood ends up thicker than water. I honestly do not see the Doom of America, because I think as a whole, everyone that truly calls the USA their home, would ever let it die. Anyone that would attempt to kill it from within, or to fundamentally change the USA, is not a true American.  | ||||
