DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (July 18) - An internal affairs report says a Daytona Beach police officer demanded free coffee and tea from a Starbucks and threatened employees with slower emergency response times if they refused.
Lt. Major Garvin, a 15-year veteran, was fired July 8. According to the Daytona Beach News-Journal, Chief Mike Chitwood says Garvin recently failed a polygraph test that he insisted on taking.
The coffeehouse's employees claim that since June 2007, Garvin had visited the store as many as six times a night while on duty. Besides demanding free drinks, workers complained that Garvin also cut in front of paying customers.
A telephone listing for Garvin could not be found.

I use to give free coffee away all the time when I worked in gas stations, But I gave away "my" free coffee the store said I can have. Since I do not like coffee Id just hand it out to Regulars/cops/paramedics. They would always try to pay for it but id always tell them to drop the change in the donation box for whatever was sitting there at the time. And I would insist its free. But If some asshole cop would have came in 6 times in a night and cut in line I would have told him I don't want him in the store.

I worked at Starbucks and I gave anyone free drinks. I would also write people up who gave away free drinks and tell me they didn't just because they lied to me. Of course I didn't give a fuck. What kind of pansy cop goes to Starbucks six times a night. LOL. I would just go to 7/11 or something, but then again I don't drink those fag drinks. I only drink black coffee with no sweetener.

There is a very nice back story here involving the area he was supposed to be covering. The city has subsidized millions of dollars in fees and taxes to renovate the area but the hoodlums still harass folks. This nigger threatened the merchants with less protection if he wouldnt be given his fucing latte. Another nig with a badge that went to his head.

i doubt that was the sole reason he was fired. there had to have been other issues with this guy.

This bodes bad for most Lawenforcement..but lets remember most 99.99% are Honest people who do there Jobs according to there departments policys.

Its always the bad people who stand out whilie the Good get ignored.

I know of a few cops that would come into Starbucks. They were all friendly, they all paid, and they tipped very well. If some dumb nig pulled that shit with me, I would have reported his ass too.
