STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) - A Danish man dressed like a Japanese ninja warrior made news in Scandinavia on Thursday by barging into a small newspaper and ranting about Sweden's popular Crown Princess Victoria.

"Ninja Man," as the Swedish media are calling him, turned up at the local newspaper Olandsbladet dressed in a black leather tunic decorated by chains, and with a Bedouin scarf wrapped around his head, police said.

Police spokesman Christer Klasson said the man, whose name was not released, is now being watched by the Swedish security police after barging into the newspaper, and shouting that it must stop writing about the princess.

The newspaper, on the island of Oland, off Sweden's southeast coast, is near the royal family's summer residence, where Victoria is set to celebrate her 31st birthday on Monday.

Olandsbladet reported Thursday that the 44-year-old man tore up a copy of the newspaper with a picture of the princess on the front page, and shouted: "You shouldn't write about Victoria. I don't like Victoria."

Klasson said police escorted the man from the newspaper after Tuesday's incident, but did not have grounds to detain him.

He said the man "behaved disturbingly," and was reported because he showed an inordinate interest in the royal family.
