| Mean Old Bastard | In his own words This guy wants to be our President and control our government. Pay close attention to the last comment!! Below are a few lines from Obama's books ' his words: From Dreams of My Father: 'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.' From Dreams of My Father : 'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mothers race.' From Dreams of My Father: 'There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.' From Dreams of My Father: ; 'It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.' From Dreams of My Father: 'I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.' From Audacity of Hope: 'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.' |

| Hey Mr. Funny Man, c'mere! | Re: In his own words I hate how much attention people pay to these elections. Even here in Canada, this shit is on the News 24/7. And people love to bicker and complain about the candidates, when I guarantee 99% of the those people wouldn't do any better. If you ran for president, just as many if not more people would be calling you a dumbass and preaching it to their friends. Doesn't matter how much attention you pay to their political debates and whatnot, in the end one guy wins, and all the time you spent glued infront of the TV was nothing but a waste of time. |

Yeah, first thing we need to do is stop with this popular vote nonsense. Caucus' are really the way to go. Our state convention sent about 40+% of it's delegates to the State convention for Ron Paul, whereas he got only 19% of the popular vote when the primary preference poll came around. The problem with popular vote primaries is the general population vote, not the party activists. When you have the general population vote it's safe to say most of the general population are idiots, and well, I guess you can say the same about party activists, but not so much. Not to mention the media does it's part to give as much skewed misinformation as it can to dumb down the voters. Originally Posted by Gag

It's no secret that TV spits out electrified propaganda and is hardly worth watching. I'm hella glad I canceled my cable, I've been watching shit I miss on the internet which is mostly CSPAN, Bloomberg which both stream live from the internet and then some things on Comedy Central which I can watch on TVU player or Sopcast streaming or I can wait till they post the Colbert Report and Daily Show on their website. Turn off the TV homo.
Hella. I'm probably vote Barr, unless by some miracle some shit goes down at the RNC and Paul pulls off the Republican nomination, then he's got my vote. Last edited by TheBagman; 06-10-2008 at 12:36 PM. |
