Police say a 9-year-old boy was among group that wielded a BB gun

CHARLESTON - Three children, including a 9-year-old boy, were taken into police custody after a video store was held up by a 14-year-old girl wielding a BB gun that looked like a pistol, authorities said.

The holdup happened about 9 p.m. Wednesday at a Hollywood Video store in downtown Charleston. A 14-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy were charged as juveniles with armed robbery. The 9-year-old was not charged because police said he was too young. He was released to his mother.

what the hell is an 9 y/o boy doin hangin out with a 12 y/o boy and 14 y/o girl?

sounds like something that happened to me kinda the other day. my little guy and his buddy wanted to go to his buddies house, i said sure if it's okay with your friends mom. i heard him talk to her, alls good, they hop on their bikes and off they go......

so it's been about an hour, it's gettin close to supper, time to come home. i phone and she says they aren't there. and i said, do you know where tehy went? she says no. there's a pause, so i said do you know where they might be? she says no. i'm like when is he supposed to come home. oh he just shows up. i'm like what? i was soo choked. i said, you let you son roam around where ever and just come home whenever? yeah she says. i was dumbfounded. flabbergasted! floored. too young for that. gotta know where ur kids are now days. well, i do anyways. i don't think he's old enough to just run off and be home before dark.
