    | man used syringe to rob a bank Man uses syringe as weapon, robs Vancouver bank VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Reuters) - A man using a hypodermic needle as a weapon held up a bank on the outskirts of Vancouver, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said on Tuesday. "He did approach the teller and verbally stated ... that if he wasn't given money he would stab one of the customers," said Alex Borden of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The man, described as in his mid-20s and wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap, then fled, a police statement said. About 10 customers were in the bank at the time, but no one was injured, Borden said. | ||||
