 | Re: older than dirt Well Jude, the term lid was never bantered around much, when I was a teen. I think a lid is an OZ? And OZ's in the late 70's were about 35-50 bucks depending on the quality. We would buy nickle and dime bags ($5 or $10) and you would get at least 6 or 7 J's from a nickle, and 10-14 J's from a dime. From time to time Thai-Sticks or Hash would show up and cost more, but they were oh so good. I was post hippie era, the 70's show kind of echos my teen years (Before the show got gay, and became all about issues and shit. Think 1st season.) Good times. Old times. The 70's were also the times of Ludes and Tuninals and Valium, Crystal THC (which was snorted. Still don't know what it was, but you got head fucked from that shit) They were good downers, before every cockhead on the planet got labeled with a syndrome that needs to be treated with these new drugs. Back then if you were depressed or sad, you were not Emo, you were a stupid jerkoff, and your friends said get over it. If you couldn't learn or concentrate in school, you were stupid. Period. Life was simpler then. And if you got caught driving drunk (not falling down dangerous drunk) or High, most of the cops would take your shit and tell you to get the fuck home. | Re: older than dirt helll ya we would drive around with the passenger seat side of the car full of empty beer cans and the cops would tell ya to be careful driving with one hand cus your beer was in the other... a lid was (to me late 60s) 4 fingers=$20 too much for me but i just remember the guys(probmostly hubby)buyin i dont remember much lol thanks joe we called the guys creeps i'll try to remember... | ||||
