The Louisiana caucus is really weird. First the primary held on the 19th will determine half the delegates IF someone gets over 50% of the popular vote. If no one gets the over 50% ALL delegates are decided by the caucus.
Since all the LA GOP delegates are "uncommitted" there is no real way to tell exactly who "won". Supposedly we had the most supporters out. But the main thing that got in the way of us "winning" is the "Pro Life/Pro Family" slate that was created by mostly Huckabee, Romney, Giuliani, and McCain supporters. They used this slate to win delegates in every district of LA to keep the Ron Paul people from "winning" the most delegates. There's no real way to tell for sure at this point who will win that state until the primary. Party politics at it's best... or worst. Depends on perspective, I suppose. | ||||
