Ron Paul wins Zogby Poll getting 32% of the votes, while second place Guiliani gets 18%. This isn't a name poll, just descriptions of the candidates.

In the ‘blind-bio’ poll, which serves to discuss the issues and policies of the candidates without the nameplate, Ron Paul is the big winner with a 32.8% share with Giuliani following at 18.6%. As reported here, each candidate was represented ‘blindly’:


Candidate A is a 10-term US Congressman from a large Southern state who is an advocate for a smaller government and individual liberty. This candidate believes in strictly following the Constitution and has never voted to raise taxes. He has never voted in favor of the war in Iraq or the Patriot Act, and wants to bring troops home as soon as possible. As a former doctor, this candidate has delivered more than 4,000 babies. One of this candidate’s goals is to return America to the gold standard, and he believes that the current monetary policy needs to be drastically overhauled because of the dollar’s decline.

Candidate B is a former governor from a Democratic state in the Northeast. Before that, he was credited for essentially saving the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. He is a Mormon and family man who is considered a moderate-to-conservative member of the GOP. While Governor, he signed the first state laws in the nation requiring all citizens of this state to obtain health insurance. He is a strong supporter of keeping troops in Iraq although he has been critical of how the war has been handled.

Candidate C is a former two-term senator from a Southern state who was a long-time lobbyist before running for public office. He was chief Republican council for the Congressional committee that investigated Watergate in the early 1970s. He was an actor playing supporting roles in several major motion pictures before entering the Senate, and returned to a prominent role as a New York City prosecutor in a popular network television series after leaving office. He has mostly supported the war in Iraq, but has said he would have managed it differently.

Candidate D is a former two-term mayor of a major city in the Northeast, and is considered a moderate member of the party on social issues. As Mayor, he presided over a dramatic drop in crime in his city, and is best known for his leadership in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He established a worldwide security consulting business after leaving public office at the end of 2001 He has been a supporter of President Bush since leaving office and supports the war in Iraq.

'BunnyRanch' Brothel Owner Endorses Underdog GOP Candidate Ron Paul


Dennis Hof, owner of the Moonlite BunnyRanch near Carson City, says he was so impressed after hearing Paul at a campaign stop in Reno last week that he decided to raise money for him.
Hof and two of his prostitutes, Brooke Taylor and a woman who goes by Air Force Amy, attended a Paul news conference.
The women say they liked Paul's message, but wanted to learn more about other candidates before making a decision.
Paul spokesman Jeff Greenspan say while Paul does not personally condone prostitution, the candidate does not think it's the role of the federal government to regulate such activity.
Greenspan says Paul is a diehard supporter of states rights who recognizes that Nevada voters and lawmakers have decided prostitution should be legal in the state.

Last night was the CNN-Youtube debate. One of the ones that surprised me in this debate was Huckabee. The ones that disappointed me were Romney and Guiliani. Both giant douche bags. Most people in the MSM will say the exchange of the night goes to Romney and Guiliani, but I don't share the same sentiment. I found that exchange to be quite disgusting, there was no substance to their argument, and only personal attacks, going over their time. I blame part of that on the debate format, because when you are only given 30-90 seconds to respond to complicated questions such as tax codes, economy, abortion, the war on terror, et cetera, they tend to hone in catch phrases and stabs at the other candidates to make their point instead of well thought out solutions and opinions to these topics.

In my opinion the exchange of the night has got to go to McCain and Paul. McCain came out with a blatant attack, that was completely off topic to the question being asked. Judge for yourself who had the best answer.

He's 3rd place in most polls in New Hampshire ahead of Thompson and Huckabee, he is gaining support in Iowa and South Carolina. He has lots of support in Nevada, including the owner of the legal Bunny Ranch brothels, David Hof I think his name is. Crazy how six months ago hardly anyone has heard of him, "Ron Who?". Now he has national, and global support.

Hunter -- 2:16, during 3 times

One note -- Huckabee did not get a chance to speak until 26 minutes into the debate, and Paul did not get his chance until more than a half hour into the debate.

Yet, mainstream media won't give him the same airtime as the "top tier" candidates. Poor Hunter and Tancredo got even less...

Seattlian asking this question to Romney... ends up getting PWND by McCain... BTW those that don't know who Cofer Black is... he is the current VP of Blackwater USA, a private company who gets paid large amounts of money by the federal government to provide 'security' in Iraq, who was hired by the Romney Campaign to be his head of counter terrorism policy advisory group. Also chairman of a private intelligence firm. They make a lot of money being in Iraq.

The only reason I said I was surprised by Huckabee was because I thought he handled his questions well. Other than that observation I don't like him much at all. About the only thing I can agree with him are some fiscal issues.
