yup. i rented kong and get rich or die trying. i burned them all and of course i have to scope kong tonight.
i like to keep movies like get rich on stash for when there is absolutely nothing else on.

when there is no entourage or weeds or something on demand i'll toss in a movie like this and it serves it's purpose. like midnight i pop it in after i'm all baked and i just sit and watch and then in the morning i remember of course watching a movie but i couldn't tell you anytihng that happened in it

did you pick up kong today?

i was able to burn it no problem. i was suprised. after i shrunk it there was still room on the disc and the movie is 3 hours 5 minutes

3 hour movies get on my nerves. It always seems they could have cut out like half hour without losing any of the plot line.

Like V for Vendetta... it was a kick ass movie, but even at 2 hours 15 minutes it was too long... could have easily made it 15 minutes shorter.

i like long movies and it's not that kong is bad so far but it's 44 minutes into it and we haven't seen kong yet. it looks like it's still quite a ways away

No, But I did get the new Harry Potter it's like 4 hours long.

wasn't impressed with the movie kong overall. i couldn't even finish it. it was 1 hour 11 minutes before you even get to see kong and by almost 2 hours they are all still on the island.

i will say that there was a bad ass fight between kong and 3 t rex's. kong fucking owned them. he was juggling anne darrow the entire time too. he would toss her in the air and while she was in the air he grabbed a t rex by the top and bottom jaw and then ripped his jaws apart just in time to catch her in his foot.
he fucked them rex's up. he was bad ass but the movie was just too long and there was too much story about shit that had nothing to do with the movie. i think it should have been chopped to a standard 90 minute to maybe 120 minutes long. this was 185 minutes long

One of the main reasons I liked it so much, was because it really stayed true to the original. The stupidist scene was the chase through the canyon when the dinos chased all those guys. Everyone would have been trampled to shit.

I thought it was a good flick. 3 Hours is easier at the theater (captive audience), then at home. Too many distractions at home.

yeah that chase scene was pretty homo. i've never seen any of the kongs so i have nothing to compare it too. i do like how you could see whats going on. when kong was fighting the t rex's it was broad daylight. most movies like this will make it all fuckin black so you can't really see whats happening.
