I will never underestimate the Government roll in supporting Religions. It assists in keeping the weak sheep in line, it helps them behave. As far as Ancient artifacts that seem impossible, suppose we develop time travel in the future. Expeditions to the past could plant things like this as markers, things that would prove that they had gone back. These things would need to be unique enough to assure that they were easy to identify, and difficult to reproduce. Other items could be left behind accidentally by time travelers, or could have been created crudely by travelers that needed them for a specific purpose (the Iraq battery). | ||||
