      | Boon... Pride... Pride The Real Deal... did you watch it? What'd you think? About the fights? About it being here in the States now? About it staying in the States? The rule changes? No more stomping, kneeing, or elbows to the head on a grounded opponent. No shoes, no Gi. 3 five minute rounds. 10 point judging system. First fight.. Short and sweet... Lawler with a flying knee 22 seconds into the match defeating Villasenor... Ended quick, too quick, but bad ass finishing... the moment he saw he knocked him down he was already up and coming back down hard. Second fight... Good fight. Ended with Nakamura giving the Canadian Galbraith a knee right to the chin and following an onslought of blows. TKO a minute and something into the fight. Third Fight... Phil Baroni when he first came out I thought what a homo... in Rhinestones with the NY Yankees symbol on his robe. Kinda reminded me of Crash. Right away he took Nishijima down with the double leg, and began dominating. eventually got him in a crucifix and worked into a kamira, albeit a sloppy one. Not a bad fight, lots of action, although one sided. Fourth Fight... Henderson dominated standup, and ground. Stayed on the ground for the most part. Went to the judges unanimous Henderson for the win over the Vitor. Fifth Fight... Butterbeam knocked some guy I dont know out. 30 seconds. It's really too bad Mark Hunt had trouble with his visa, because that would have been a much better fight. Mark could have probably taken a few more punches and probably landed a few more himself. Oh well, got to see a guy get pounded down. Sixth Fight... Nastula dominates the fight only to submit by a ankle lock by Barnett. Started off slow, but ended up being a good fight. Sevent Fight... Randleman came in the fast with the take down, but then got bent the fuck up by Shogun with a knee bar. Eventually submitting. Kept wondering when Randleman was going to submit. Main Event... On Fedors way down to the ring he tripped, that was great. Business as usual for Fedor. Coleman kept shooting in going for the takedown but getting rejected by Fedor who pounds the hell out of him, fucking up his face. The time he finally is able to take him down in the begining of the second round, Fedor just snaps another sick armbar from the bottom. Fuck Fedor is a machine. But, give it to Mark. He took a hell of a beating. Wasn't too bad of a PPV. | ||||
