bullshit law...don't let anyone stay with you

i'm watching cops and i can't believe some of the laws.
this broad has her apartment and her boyfrind comes to visit all the time. she has been letting her x, the father of her kids stay there for the past 2 days. her and the x start yelling at each other and the new boyfriend comes in to stop x from yelling at his woman and they start fighting. all of them said they don't know who started it, it just happened.
the woman had told the x to leave the apartment and they took the new boyfriend to jail. apparently if you let someone stay with you for 48 hours then they have established residence there and you have no right to kick them out. you have to give them a 30 day notice.

so you have an apartment or a house. you are on the lease or the mortgage. your buddy is staying with you for 3 days. you get in a fight and tell him to leave and he can say fuck you. he has as much right to live in your house as you do.

wtf kind of shit is that?

i am never letting anyone stay with me

where was that. it is true as to if you have an established residence like that, but 2 days isnt long enough, unless in some spot it is, its usually in the range of 2 weeks if not more

it depends where you are, in certain jurisdictions maybe it can be done that quick, but i know based on some fact patterns i did in my coursework over the last few yrs, it is often a few weeks to establish residence in cases like n that

it was virginia beach virginia and i'm fuckin tellin you the lady said 2 days and he asked if it was 48 hours and she said yes. then he started in with how he establishe dresidence.

who the fuck cares even if it was 2 weeks. nobody should have the right to stay in my house if i don't want them there except my wife and my children.
if your friend stays with you for 3 weeks and then tries to lay the pipe to your woman you can;t kick him out......would they rather i disfigure him?

yeah, i understand that, but i also understand the intention behind the law, in fact i had to use it to my benifit once before, so i can see it from both sides.

all kinds of those laws are bullshit. it's all how the cops interperit the scene. i got arrestes for domestic violence against my ex about 10 years ago. it was all bullshit.
we used to argu like crazy and my thing was i would split. i was trying to leave the house and she was whaling on me, spitting on me, trying to rack my nuts from the back. she was body hugging me trying to yank me back. i turned around and gave a hard ass push and she fell back into the chair and her face cracked the side of the wall. she jumped up and left and went to my moms house to call the cops. i got dressed and waited for the cops. i got arestes and they took pictures of her face and she was all fuckin swelled up. it looked like a boxed her out but i didn't.
she calls the cops from my moms and i go to jail. my mom bails me out...why the hell did you let her call the cops if you're gonna bail me out?
she drops the charges against me but the state picked them up so now i have a dv on my record forever.

fuck all that shit. if you are on a lease or own a house you should be able to make leave whoever you want except your family.

a friend staying there for a say or a week or a month should not give them the same rights as you. in the end they will have to leave anyway it will just cause the homeowner money

this guy and his girlfriend live in a house together. the girls ex was banging at the door trying to get in. calling the woman names. the guy opened the door and they were arguing. the owner of the house popped him in the mouth on his porch and the owner is going to jail for assault. on his property.....bullshit

if they have a bunch of stuff moved in then thats one thing, but if their sleeping on your couch w/ 1 set of clothes on your back and can't prove u pay your share of the bills u should be thrown the fuck out.. but i doubt that will ever happen so i say atleast do it 2wks, and if a place wants it longer then thats cool but no less 48hrs is a weekend hangout i mean comeon

Fine ill explain myself.

Back the yr after i graduated HS, i had a falling out with my family. They kicked me out, and of course i could have used it then, but didnt.

A friend of mine allowed me to stay at his place, and i even worked with him for his father while I stayed there. His asshole father withheld my pay and gave me about 5 bucks a day to eat, like i was paying rent at his sons place, he was on the lease, even though he didnt live there.

So about a month later he told me to get the hell out of his sons place, even though his son didnt care to kick me out, i was welome as far as he was concerned. So I used this law to buy me an extra month ot patch things up with my family so that i had a place to go when i left.

This law exists so that people that rely on any location as a home, arnt put out on the street. i understand and respect this law, but its scope has expanded to far, as is clear in this case
