i'm here. wishing the hollidays were over. it just seems like 1 more thing to deal with. i never get what i want for the hollidays which is to be left alone for a while. just me and my wife enjoying each others company and trying to be festive together.
i hate dealing with my ex cause she always has to bitch about what i'm getting the kid. this year we are just getting him a gift card to best buy. he's 9 and likes all the video games. last year for his birthday we got him a few things from his list among them some posters that never got hung up. thats $30 down the drain. for shristmas he wanted a tent and a sleeping bag and we got that and she wouldn't even let him take it home. it's been in my closet ever since. this year she feels like a gift card is a bad gift but fuck man. we get to see my son like 1 day a month if i'm lucky, we never get to see him use his gifts so fuck it. i don't care anymore. why should i worry about it? a gift card is on his list and that way they can go get whatever he wants but the ex bitches.

the in laws keep asking my wife what i want and they claim that if she don't tell them they will guess. i tell them every year that i don't exchange gifts with any adults except my wife and the press it. every year they buy me shit and it makes me feel like i am put on the spot to open their cheese shit that i don't want.
it's cold and icey and snowy outside. i go to the mall today to shop for my mother in law cause my father in law is not mobile. the mall is packed as fuck. people are annoying. parking lot is full. shit is over priced and customer service is dead.
i'll be so glad when it's all over man. in january my wife is taking a couple days off and we are gonna veg out and do some shopping together. we are going to go to all the outlet malls for her to shop at cause we got an extra 2k or so saved up. gonna go get clothes for her. elecrtonics and a new tatt for me and then we are going to go to washington dc for a couple days.

we decided that every year in the winter and summer we are going to go somewhere. that will be our vacation every year. one day we will do it big. ireland but every year we will do stateside stuff. dc this winter and vegas next summer.


end of rant. i'm just tired of the christmas music. the christmas commercials. it's all about spending money. only things good about winter/christmas is egg nog and those hickory farm summer sausage and cheese/crackers gift sets. thos own

also we spent $12 on syriana and it sucked.

we go to a new restaurant that just opened here. eat n park.
typical shitty food and shitty service. we go the soup and all you can eat salad bar. usually that means they bring you a monster bowl of soup and you serve yourself the salad bar. not here. you serve up the soup too and there are no bowls. just these little cup looking fucking things. also the plates are really small. so you have to serve your hot dish too. if you want more than a dollip of soup that means you have to go back. i know it's all you can eat but that should be served up.
about 5 minutes after we get out food the lady brings the check over and says no hurry. i fuckin hate that. they mean hurry the fuck up. it's saturday night during christmas and there is a line. that shit is rude cause aftwe we say my wife wants a piece of blackberry pie the waitress cops an attitude cause she has to re ring it.
restaurants suck anymore.

I agree with both of you. But let me ask you this, if so many people feel this way, which they do, how come no one believes you when you tell them?

I like giving the kids gifts, nieces and nephews, and my kids, adults are too hard to buy shit for, unless you can spend a couple of hundred on each person.

And shopping, Boon you are right, drive in traffic, park in a full lot, walk in the mall with the rude assholes that bump into you and get in your way. I go to get a couple of gifts, I get in the mall, and after a few minutes, I get anxious and forget what the fuck I went there for, Then I just have to get out of there, quick. People cough and sneeze on ya and bump into you, and It just grosses me out. Fuck people!

we are not rick but we don't have a lot either. i'm tired of everything around you suggesting you spend money. these commercials show people giving a new car to their wife or this new annoying ass beyonce one where she is singing and the new gifts are flat screen tv's and laptops. what about the normal christmases where you put the debt on credit to get what you can cause everything costs so much?

my mother in law is the most retarded fucking person. we tell her that we don't want anything and that we will not give gifts to the adults. they say ok but insist on buying us things. i get things like gloves, socks, bullshit that i hate and don't want/need. i really hate gifts unless it's from my wife. and for my wife my mother in law takes her shopping in september and my wife pickes out a purse or something she likes. my mother in law insists on getting it and then outside she says that she can't have it till christmas and then she wraps it up and my wife has to wait till christmas day to get a gift that her mom bought in front of her 4 months earlier. wtf kind of warped shit is that? bizzare man.
i just want people to leave us alone for the hollidays man..

i just feel like christmas gifts should be for parents to children(till children are adults) then for grandchildren and spouses only. i think it has gotten too commercial and it's all about what you can spend and i hate it.
