rubbing alcohol and salt

whadaya do?

I get rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and wipe down the whole piece after almost every use and than put a bit of HOTT water on a paper towel and wash it off and dry it so the next toke will be from a pipe that looks new

Soak them overnight in a glass container filled with rubbing alcohol. I never thought about adding salt. Does it make a big difference?
In the morning I just run hot water through it and resin comes out in chunks, leaves it clean.

Yes, it makes a world of difference. What it does is adds an abrasive texture for a scrubbing action. Works well.
