coaching 4th grade basketball next year
just got the call. and get this. it's for the church league. it's an irish church. st mary's. my sons league just finished. only 6 games but they went undefeated. i wasn't the coach on paper this year but i was at all the games like side coaching all the kids.

it's funny cause my sons mother used to always yell and bitch me out and shit cause at the games during warm ups and shit i would walk out onto the court and grab my son and tell him to do this or that. or i'd pull aside some other kid and give em a few tips real fast. she would always say it was embarasing and shit. what a cunt.
so the church admin that takes care of this asked her for my number and called me and asked to coah next year. this year it was boy/girl mixed teams. no stealing the ball and they were lax on traveling.
next year it's all boys regular rules.
a couple of the parents asked the admin lady if she could talk to me cause their kid wants to know if i can coach.
so they did.

i think this is too cool man. i go to all the games all tatted up and wearing my zappa shirt or a muscle shirt or something. just being me minus the cussing. i'm cool with all the kids. i fuck with them all of course.

we're going undefeated next year mofo.
i'm bringing out all the tricks.

most of them know me already. i go to every game a bit ealier so the parents of the kids on teh 2 teams playing see me around. i've never talked to them but they would know me by seeing me. i don't know them

Cool Boon,

I'm the manager of my younger son's little league team. It's much better to be in it then to just watch. More fun. And it's funny cause I'm like all laid back and have long hair and shit, and I don't take it as serious as some of the other coaches, and the parents like that. We just make sure the kids learn something and have fun. At this age it's not only about winning.


But losing still sucks.....

i really am good at it cause i don't treat them like they are kids. i talk to them just like i talk to everyone else but of course no cussing.
i talk to all of them all the time and help em out.
plus i'm not afraid to act stupid so that helps. i know me some basketball too

yup.

i know we're gonna smoke em next year though. i am getting the exact team my son is on now minus the girls. this team already beat all the other team. the next closest team had only 2 losses and they both came by this team.

now they will get some real coaching too. fundamentals you know.

it is all just about having fun and it's about the kids. the one coach of this team never shouts instructions or good job but always yells at a certain couple of them. i can do this without yelling at all. it don't help when you're yelling at one of them in front of their friends and embarasing them. they are only 9.
when they are older we can tell them to fuckin suck it up. now though they still are soft. can't be yelling at them

yeah man. i used to be able to play. i see the surgeon next week. i'm hoping to have surgery soon and do therapy and then work on basketball after therapy is over and i'm better. if i'm better. go to the court a few times a week to get back into it.

my plan is to scrimmage the kids. me and 4 of them against the other coach and 4 of them and full court ball. hopefully
