  | computer help im on a wireless connection and lately, my internet gets disconnected for like 5 seconds then comes back on. it happens once every 10 minutes and i cant download any cds  is there anything i can do to fix this i found this on a site "I had the same problem. All you have to do is unclick "Enable IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network". Mine worked perfectly from then on. You have to click on your network then click on authentication in the tabs and it will be there, just unclick it and presto!" i dont even know where to go to try to do that to see if it works | ||||

   | Re: computer help One thing I would try is changing the Wireless channel your router uses. Normally they are set to channel 6 or 11. But if there are other routers around, or other wireless appliances around, they can interfere. This is a setting inside the router. Also, check the vendors website and download the latest drivers for your wireless cards and firmware for your router. Don't be afraid !!!!! LOL | ||||

If that is the case, you might be connected to someone elses wireless..... and the signal may not be strong enough to sustain a connection. Make sure you are connecting to your own router.
