   | computer tech. k my dads power supply on his computer fried. he and i took it in to the computer technicians at best buy. they said they think its the power supply but they recommended a diagnostic check to find the cause. so he paid for the diagnostics and he will have to go in, in a couple days. i have used that computer to surf this site a couple times and a couple other sites like this. also, i have used my computer to go on this site and others like this. my email is linked to his and my moms, i have the same service as them but my own username and my own computer. will they be checking the history of my dads computer? also is there anyway that they could access my computers history and records through his email account even though they dont know my password and my computers at home? thanks. | ||||

  | Re: computer tech. Most likely not. And the whole process is a waste of time and money. Power Supplies go all the time. the cause 99.99999% of the time is a bad power supply. If it's not too late have your dad tell them to just replace the supply and that's it. Unles the failing supply took out other components (which will be quite obvious rather quickly) there is no need to give Best Buy money for booting your system 2 or three times and saying it's fine. | ||||
