desktop or laptop....that IS the question

what are you using?

i've been on a steady desktop diet for the past few years. just got my first notebook a couple days ago.

i really like it. it's one of those things that is not needed but is wanted.
i waited cause i didn't want to dish out the cash but i figured it would be a good investment.

things are changing and they're changing fast. i like the idea of being able to connect anywhere. it will be that way soon.

do you bring your laptop with you when you go places. i think i'm gonna start.

i know the public library here, starbucks, panera bread, the downtown square and shit loads of other places offer wireless connections for their patrons.

if you have onstar you can have your car email you a monthly or weekly diagnostic report. thats just one of the many things that has changed.

i'm on my laptop right now... when i wanna really get into the net i gotta be on my desktop, but just sittin down watchin tv or a movie then i grab my laptop

it is a little funky getting used to it.

sitting on the couch is not the greatest but it's not that bad.

it gets a little old using the touch pad on the forum when you want to scroll and shit.

i'm gonna get another wireless optical and keep it in the laptop bag that way if i'm gonna be on the laptop for a bit i can use the mouse

I've been using a laptop since I left home, and I like it. It's great to have a computer that my siblings and I aren't fighting for all the time.

ive been on a lappy for yrs, and am quite used to it

I have a rather nice desktop that I upgrade every few years...

I want a notebook but seriously don't have the funds for it.

I do have this Sony POS with a 500 mhz processor, 32 mb of ram, and Windows 98... I use it to browse the web at school during lectures...

I got my laptop and use it mainly when I travel so I can remote into client sites and stuff. I thought it would be cool having it with me during the day, but it is just really a burden. I'm afraid to leave it in the car in certain places, and I don't want to carry it everywhere.

Great to have if you need it, I just don't use it on a regular basis.

laptop, it gets old sitting day after day in the same room in the same chair at the same desk. I like being able to sit down in front of the big screen in the den.

Im on a desktop right now it's okayy, but not really, its actually the biggest piece of shit on earth, I had a dell laptop but that kind of shit the bed after he turned 5-6 years old, my dad got a newer dell laptop I use when I can, it's 1,000,000 times better than this.

The real reason this sucks is because I think my parents just bought the cheapest HP they had on sale at wal mart for my sisters graduation, where the dell got a few upgrades

still, my next will be a laptop for sure

i like working on dell desktops beacuase everything just pops out so i dont need a screwdriver.

laptops are cool if your on the go but they are more expensive and way more expensive to upgrade/replace parts. I use them at work sometimes but i have 2 desktops at my house.

mine doesn't, I've got all kinds of screws on this thing, except to open the case and take out drives.
I like having a desktop, I know I could take this thing apart and put it back together, I've never managed to put together a laptop that I've taken apart. Maybe I should buy a new laptop and have another go.
