![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Didjeridoo playing technique... Can totally be modified to be a smoking method. I came across this by accident when I was smoking a joint the other day. I rolled it so I could smoke and walk the dog, but it burned for way longer than I expected... You know how sometimes joints just don't go down? This was one of those. Mmm... Anyways, I had to be home but of course chucking the joint is out of the question, so I started taking more and more tokes with less and less fresh air between.... Eventually I realised that for about 1/2 the joint I'd been toking, holding it in then whilst I exhaled through my nose using my mouth to take another hit in, then breathing in when I was done exhaling. (The hits got progressively bigger as nose exhalation takes a while and I was getting more and more high). This shit's sweet... I was so ridiculously stoned from one medium sized jay =) Try it! Btw the didjeridoo thing... The circular breathing you use in didjeridoo playing is pretty much that ^^ but in reverse. I reckon what would be awesome would be chain killhitting - as soon as you're done exhaling the last kill through your nose, another just comes flowing out of your mouth etc. | ||||

| fucc that and fucc you | Re: Didjeridoo playing technique... ![]() The didgeridoo (or didjeridu) is a wind instrument of the Indigenous Australians of northern Australia. It is sometimes described as a natural wooden trumpet or "drone pipe". Musicologists classify it as an aerophone. A didgeridoo is usually cylindrical or conical in shape and can measure anywhere from 1 to 2 meters in length with most instruments measuring around 1.2 meters. Generally, the longer the instrument, the lower the pitch or key of the instrument. The didgeridoo is played with continuously vibrating lips to produce the drone while using a special breathing technique called circular breathing. This requires breathing in through the nose whilst simultaneously expelling air out of the mouth using the tongue and cheeks. By use of this technique, a skilled player can replenish the air in his lungs, and with practice can sustain a note for as long as desired. Recordings exist of modern didgeridoo players playing continuously for more than forty minutes (Mark Atkins on Didgeridoo Concerto plays for over 50 minutes continuously), and some currently unsubstantiated claims peg times over one hour |
