Just because it's not as good as their other shit to you, doesn't mean it's a crappy album.


I think Roger Waters did an excellent job writting that album still though.

yes, your right, just cuz i dont like it means its crappy, but personally, i think its there second worst album, next to final cut, there both mostly directed by roger waters, which is why i hate them, cuz i think david gilmour is a much better song writer

Im watch the dmb dvd and its SICK!! Sound quality is AWESOME! Show is AWESOME! I love it!

A friend of mine said the wall is not worth watching when ur not stoned, but im still gonna watch it later..

Not on what bohner said.. The Wall is DEFINATLY a good album, not a bad one at all.. But animals, and wish you were here are much better.. BUt the wall is up there top like 5

The thing about Pink Floyd was that they were complex in their simplicity. I mean, they had no technically dazzling instrument parts, everything complimented each other. All the layers of sound, from the solid rhythm section, to Gilmour's emotional solo work, and the symphonic effects that were a staple of Rogers-led Pink Floyd, everything came together into a perfect sound. The finest days of Pink Floyd lie between the Atom Heart Mother and The Final Cut albums. I'd venture to say that Roger Waters is the man who made Pink Floyd "Pink Floyd', his visions created masterpieces like Dark Side Of The Moon, Animals, The Wall, and The Final Cut. I believe every single lyric on all four of these albums were from him, not to mention the majority of songwriting he did. The vocal combination of this band was, in my opinion, the best by any band ever. Waters' depressing and dark vocals mixed with Gilmour's more smooth and melodic approach; yet another layer added into the mix. These guys had it all figured out, but it did take them alot of experimenting to get there. The Syd Barret era, although alot of good music came from it, alot of not so good stuff did as well, especially compared to what Pink Floyd would do in the future. The thing about Syd is that his influence carried on even when he left, with Roger inking lyrics regarding insanity and the like that were quite obviously influenced by Syd. Much of Dark Side Of The Moon, Shine On You Crazy Diamond from Wish You Were Here, perhaps even parts of The Wall.

And that brings me to what is in my opinion the finest album ever created, The Wall. The personal signifigance of this album is deep. It actually goes beyond music for me, this album was and still is a large part of my life. I find that I can relate the most important moments and things in my life to it in some way, shape or form. It marks an extreme emotional maturity in me, too. If I would call any album perfect, it would be The Wall. The film itself only cemented this, it is a brilliant rendition of the story of The Wall, and it only makes the music that much more special.
