i added some more water to my supplies today. next weekend i am going to gander mountain to get some survival shit. i watched a special on doomsday stuff that could end the planet it it got me all freaked out. talking about asteroids and bio warfare. they said that small pox was eradicated for a long time but during the cold war the soviets engineered thousands of batches with each batch able to deliver like a trillion lethal doses.
the cdc has shit like ebola, small pox, spanish flu, black plague, cow pox, anthrax cause they are trying to find cures but the soviets and the libyans and however many others have access to this shit too.
remember the anthrax that was going around after the trade centers? shit is out there man.

another thing that they think is a possibliity is a global famine due to genetiacally engineered food. it was said that there is an 80% chance that you eat at least 1 thing that has some sort of genetic altered food every day. something like 80% of all the corn, 70% of al the wheat, and 60% of all the cotten in the states is genetically engineered and thats not all. they said that each dna marker can produce more than 1 protein and there is no way for them to know everything that could happen. they thought that the human dna strand had like 130k genes, 1 for every protein but we only have 33k.

it was said that what they do is take a dna marker out of a sting ray and blast it into the cells of a tomato that grows a tomato that is resistent to frost.

there is also a pill that you can get through army and survival type stores that you can pretty much drop it in a jug of the nastiest water you can find and it makes it totally drinkable.

they are getting carried away.at first they just tried to make veggies bigger but now they are chopping out dna segments and blasting them into the markers of other things and they just can't predict what will happen.
i reaaly don't like the idea of the bio weapons. it would have been nice if it would have stayed eradicated. honestly i think the meteor is looking pretty good for what will wipe us out.
the asteriod belt is right there and in 2028 there is supposed to be a pretty huge one that is on track for us. there is still 30% of the sky in the southern hemisphere that has not even been monitered so who knows what is floating there. plus one can just pop up. int he late 90's one about 2 kilometers wide passed by earth twice the distance from here to the moon and we only saw that a couple weeks before it passed by us

Yeah, nut the Earth has been around for billions of years, and it's been like 65 Million years since a sizable chunk of rock hit Earth, they say that it's estimated a planet devastating impact should occur roughly every 65 million years, so were due about now. But that is a wide margin of error. if they are wrong by .00250% then we're good for like another few hundred thousand years. I think it's a long shot. I'm more worried about the shit that we the asshole inhabitants f the Earth will do to each other.

depends on what you call sizable. under a kilometer wide will not destroy the entire planet but if it hit in the right spot it would destroy the water/electricity/and fuel for the country plus kill a few million and toss up a nice size ploom. humankind will probably survive but it will be a bad situation for a long time
