i just got mine in the mail and it's about time. if you don't have it yet you will soon. i've bene seeing the payment stations everywhere. now you have to slide your card through the box, hit atm or debit or whatever and then probably sign or put in a pin.

with the pay pass all you have to do is tap the back of your card on the card reader and you're good to go.

if i get one i'm cutting it up.. i dont want a single useage on it because i'd loose it then sum1 can have a field day.. i loose my shit way to much and without having to sign or pout in the pin to prove its me i dont want it...

even with the old style that i just had i only had to hit a pin or sign maybe 40% of the time. everything is point of sale transactions now so when you swipe your card you hit debit or credit and then the reciept pops out. no signature.
nobody ever checks my id or the signature on the back of the card

I'm the only person where I work that checks IDs when people use cards.

I put CHECK ID on the back of both of mine and still only get asked like 60% of the time at stores. That shit pisses me off.... now you don't even sign for purchases under $20 at most stores... that's stupid IMHO.

It's back to being as about as secure as carrying cash...

werd budslide, smart man, i put check id on the back of my cards too. and also only about 60% of the time. As long as the back is signed, they dont have to check your id, and half the time they dont look closely enough to see the "check id" thing. oh well. just gotta be careful.

even if you sign it once you start to use that bitch you can't see the signature anymore. they never ask for id's either and with the point of sale you don't have to sign or put a pin in.

it used to be under $20 at most places but in the past week or so one place said they don't do it under $25 and a couple said they don't do it for anything under $100.

at least the pay pass makes it easier on me. i'm anal about my wallet though so i don't worry about losing it.
i always have it on me. always in the same pocket. i always know how much cash i have in there to the dollar.

werd boon, I'm anal about losing my wallet aswell. I'm always patting my ass when I'm walking, and after i get up from sitting down to make sure my wallet is still there. same with my cell phone.

i had a credit card and yea, about 5% of the time they actually asked for my id. i hate those damn things. i usually spend cash.

i'm talking about debit cards dude.

when i pay i use my debit card but i put it through as credit cause i get unlimited credit transactions for free each month but with debit(using the pin) i only get so many free and then it's like 25 cents for each pin transaction

i used to put everything on credit cards to build my credit.. now that its built i just use my debit card i always have to hit my PIN or sign... i'll take the 3seconds longer for my piece of mind.. i'm sure they have security for it but eh w/ my luck since i'm the one that doesnt like the idea i'd be the only one to somehow get fucked over

Not bad enough how much of your info in on file everywhere. Those stores that use credit card sign pads, where you write your name and it digitizes it, are shit. I never sign my name on them, I just make an x or a scribble, I do not want my signature digitized in the computer for CompUSA....
