    | Expunged What the fuck does it mean in the legal sense? I've heard two different things. When a conviction is taken off your record entirely. Or when a conviction is taken off your record from public view. As in somebody couldnt do a private background check on me and find a conviction that's been expunged, but if the government/state did a background check on me, that conviction would still come up on my records. So what is it? | ||||

| Re: Expunged I fuckin hope. I want to apply for my CCW soon and there might be a problem if theres something still on my record. Thats why I'm trying to get expunged defined. I searched my record publicly and nothing was there, but I contacted a DPS person who does CCW stuff and they made it out to seem that they could "see" stuff that isn't there publicly. Making me think that they might be able to see everything, even if its expunged. CCW classes cost $200-$250 and to even submit an application to the state for a CCW it costs $100. That would be $350 down the fuckin drain if I got denied. | ||||

| Re: Expunged Nothing is expunged from the viewpoint of government officials looking at shit. For a CCW there should be clear standards about what qualifies you. So, are you qualified? If not, you could be charged with fraud. | ||||

| Re: Expunged According to what I read in my states statutes expunged means its like it never happened, like the judge never even submitted my charges according to what it says. I dunno its all fuzzy. it also says I can legally check "no" to whatever the conviction is. so if your asked for a job etc, it asks whatever, you can check no "like it never happened." | ||||
