fuck yes it was. shogun is on his way up i think. dude is only 23 and he's nasty. at least team chute boxe will still have a top level fighter cause i think that silva has peaked and will be on the steady decline

I honestly want to get the Bushido if it's what you say it is. I like seeing people pound the shit out of eachother as much as the next guy, but I think it gets real interesting when it goes to the ground and gets technical. I don't know I guess I am a fan of the sub/ground/grappling fighters, or what have you.

i'm a huge grappling fan. not laying on top and punching but grappling. thats why i watch pride. bushido will be on the ground a lot more. it's all the light weight guys. they are very, very fast and very slick on the ground. a couple of these guys have sinished fights with flying arm bars and shit.

i almost pissed myself when shogun almost stuck arona with that omaplata. that would have been sweet. arona is on the brazilian top team and they are known for their grappling. if he would have got subbed by that move it would have been wonderful.

da, you need to try and get the pride dvd from netflix that has carlos newton vs kazushi sakuraba. they put on a fuckin grapplin clinic. it was an mma match but at the start they shook hands and agreed to go at it only grappling, no strikes. it's nasty.

the fight is on pride 3

the rest of that dvd is not that hot but that mtch is worth it alone. trust me.

I think I have that disc. It's on Legacy, disc 3, and I have watched everyone I have burnt, but I didn't label it very well and I will be pissed if it's on the one I was unable to burn the one side on. Do you know if the disc was one sided or two? I would have loved to see shogun complete that move, when it was almost there I had a big smile on my face because I thought it was gonna happen.

i don't know if it's a one sided disc or 2 cause i have it on tape. probably one sided cause there are only like 5 matches.

nuts huh..fedor is a fuckin machine man. there is nobody in pride or ufc that can handle fedor right now. the guy is talented and a fuckin smart fighter. thats the most important part. a lot of people fight the same way no matter who they fight where fedor will change it up.
he constantly stalked cro cop and had him circling the right way so he couldn't launch the left high kick.

i feel bad for fedor in the fact he has a loss on his record by tko. it was less than a minute into the fight and he got a cut above his eye. it was probably less than 30 seconds into the fight. all the fans know it's not a real loss but his record will not show undefeated.

same thing happened to randy couture vs vitor belfort last year. 20 seconds into the fight vitor threw a pinch and his thumb nail cut randy above the eye and randy lost the fight.

there is no way fedor can lose. the guy absorbs pain and punishment like it's nothing.
if you can, hunt down fedor vs kevin randleman and you'lls ee. randleman slams him harder than i've ever seen anyone get slammed. fedor landed on his head, upside down with randleman on top of him. i really thought fedor had a broken neck. after the slam, he rolled right out of it like it never happened and slapped a kimura on randleman.


the only people int eh division left to fight are mark hunt and sergei kharitonov and neither one of them are really a contender yet. sergei is getting there but fedor will smoke both of them.
