gonna buy a bike

i'm definately gonna get my parents harley but i don't know when. we are getting almost $1,400 back from income tax that is due in any time now. i'm gonna take that and buy a bike just to get us in the wind and then when i get the harley i'll sell it.

it's gonna be a jap bike but i don't care. you can get a pretty nice bike for that much

my parents and brother in law both have harleys so i won't be riding with them but we never did ayway. just something to get us in the wind till we get the harley

Ive always liked the Honda Shadow. Used to know someone that had three. He road his Orange one up to Sturgis every year.

they're nice bikes. none of these are my first choice but i'm not one of those dudes that won't ride if they can't ride a harley. it's all i can get right now and all that matters is my wife and i have fun.

her friend from work has a kawasaki vulcan that her and her husband ride a bit. we'll probably do some riding with them cause they have a ricer too.

we were just talking about that. neither one of us wear helmets unless we are gonna be doing some highway riding.

there is a helmet called a skid lid too. thats what we are gonna get

why not spend the 1400 on something else and just wait for the harley? instead of buying a temp bike that you'll just lose some value on when you sell...

the only way it's gonna lose value is if i wreck it for one
also i don't know when i'm getting the harley. it could be at the start of summer or the end or next year for all i know. i don't want another season to go buy and not ride.

when i get the harley i'll sell this one. i'll get what i paid for it no problem

oh werd, go for it then, and when you get your harley, you should put on a sidecar with the money from selling the other one, that would be badass. When i was 11 or 12 my baseball coach had a bike with a sidecar and it was so cool and nice, it had like an airplane canopy type thing in it and a some speakers inside so i could listen to music and sleep if i really wanted to in that thing, it was sick.

i would consider it if it was a different bike. it's a 100th anniversary edition 1200 cc sportster. not the right bike for a sidecar.

my stepdad is still healthy enough to ride thats why i don't know when i'll get it. he'll keep it as long as possible. i have a feeling that he'll try to get one more season out of it and i'll get it over the winter.

that will work out good cause over the winter i can give it a once over. it's damn near mint though. it's an 03 and it's only got like 1k on it. forward controls, harly sissy bar, drag pipes, saddle bags and custom mirrirs/grips

they're nice. funny thing is the 1200cc sportster is at the bottom of the line as far as harleys go
