do you think that 1200 dollars is a god price for a 5 year old scarlet mckaw, healthy, hand fed, syas some words and comes with a giant fucking stand up bad ass cage with all the supplies needed.

i'm seriously thinking of taking some money out of the bank to buy this dude. i'm on the fence about it cause thats a lot of bread to spend on a bird but those mckaws are the tits.

that a good price?

def. a good price for the cage and everything. Make sure you go and handle the bird for awhile because you'll be going from a chuhuahua to a great dane, a Macaw can take your finger off be it by mistake or because you pissed him off. It is alot of bread, but the bird will live until its 50 if you take care of it right.

although he's gentle at the store w/ the people he knows there with him, when he gets into a new surrounding and isnt exactly sure most birds and reptiles arent always like a puppy, they tend to not like it and be a little tough at the begining..... Dont get me wrong the bird will get used to you and know your his owner eventually, just isnt as easy as with a dog or cat.. I would jsut recommend if you do get him, pay or whatever and just hang at the store for a day or 2 so he knows your not gonna hurt him, it will take alot of the tension outta the move for him.

But damn best damn birds out there, mine lets me rub his belly, he's never even in the cage. I've hand fed him personally since the day he was born.

probably a scarlet, I knew I wanted a macaw but didn't know what kind i went back and fourth between a scarlet and a blue for months, then the blue at the zoo got pregnant so it pretty much finished that debate, I wouldn't mind having 2

nah..i've had a little stash in the bank for some time now...no money comes out of the bike fund for any reason

it's not about fun for me

it's about they are beautiful and they would look cool chilling in my house for 50 years. it's about their personality.
it's about when people come over i can laugh my ass off when my bird says " hey asshole" and stuff like that

i am not a people person. i dog most everyone here, on the joint. there are a select few that i would like to hang with for a day or to and then you'd have to get the fuck back in cyber space. i just don't enjoy peoples company. my birds though, i enjoy that
