The first time I did knives was in HS, senior year. Dave and I were looking for pot and found hash instead. At that point I had only smoked hash in a pipe and was not really impressed. Dave told me we could go to his brother inlaw, Brads place and hot knife it. I had no clue of what he was talking about but figured it had to be better than out of a pipe.

At Brads house was a big fat lab type dog that is important to the story.

Dave cut the hash into small chunks while the knives were heating on the stove. Dave takes a hit first so I know what to do. I step up to the plate, Brad fills the 2 liter soda bottle with smoke and I take that while he continues with the smoke untill I give him the signal. I pull the remaining smoke and immedietly fall to the floor.

Lucky for me the dog, remember the dog?
He was there for me.
He broke my fall.

I've had my fair share of run-ins with hot knives... I remember this one time, I was drinking with a friend, and we decided to get some hotknives going, and... having him burn the weed for me, he conveniently slips and the knife goes straight at my forehead!
So, I have a big burn mark in the middle of my forehead, calm down and get ready for another... this time, I FALL INTO IT, burning my chin. Gah, it sucked, but I was able to see the humour in it.

I know someone who does resin hits through hotknives.. but.. to me that seems liek the dirtiest possible way to get high off dope

Yeah I'd really like to try this at some point.
It seems a lot better than 'bot's, putting the hash on a burning cigarette and putting that in a bottle, but hey it works.
But I'd prefer no cigarette smoke.

you can avoid most of the cigarette smoke by using a GLASS bott, blowing the ash off the cig till you get a nice spear point, then spear up a bit of hash and slip only the very tip where the hash is into the bott so the hash smoke goes into the bott but the secondhand smoke goes outside the bott (because cigs burn where the paper meets the ember, not where ember is). I've never hotknifed myself because I've tried plenty of easier ways to get just as high

A bot is...

Take a water bottle and cut a hole into it at the bottom (size of a quarter). Instead of using 'hot knives' to heat up the hash, you put a small chunk on the end of a ciggarette and stick it in the bottom and wait till it doesn't brew anymore. It tastes like 50/50 hash/cig, and IMO is O-K if you smoke but if you dont, just use hotknives Hotknives are my favourite way to smoke but if I do, it's in the kitchen with nobody home. Gets you retarded. I remember smoking a quarter by hotknives while playing video games for hours with my friends during the summer.
