| fucc that and fucc you | how do you think this would work? when my cider is done fermenting. put the whole bottle in a freezer until it turns slushy, then get a collender(spaghetti strainer) on top of a giant bowl or something. pour the frozen slushy hard cider through and it will catch all the ice and pour the good stuff through i think this would make the cider stronger discuss |

I'd steal a bottle of wine before drinking that, all I can see happening is a really bad hangover. If youre broke dude im telling you, Orloff Vodka. so cheap and effective if you plan it right you can get drunk for free, maybe even make a few bucks. let everyone buy in $5 and after 3 people you made more than your money back, and 1 bottle will get like 7 people trashed. or just get 40oz's but i know your doing it to experiement so do whatever ye want ![]() |

| fucc that and fucc you | Re: how do you think this would work? you dont have to believe it works but i done it before and i do it again it does get alcoholicy, it does taste good, and it does get you drunk, it may be cheap the only bad thing is it takes 6 months to make that is probably why not a lot of people make it. its much easyer to go to the store and shell out 15 for a bottle of whatever then spend 3 on a bottle of cider then wait 6 months |

I doubt this would work, because alcohol and water are both polar. you'd also need extremely cold temperatures depending on the alcohol content, because of freezing point depression (where the alcohol drags the freezing point of water down... if you had 100 proof liquor you'd need at least 0 degrees fahrenheit to freeze it) turning it into a gas will though, so if you're dedicated to this project there are some really cheap still designs that can be made... the plus is that you can also make genuine absinthe with a still :) mmm stills RULE oh yeah, freezing point depression is why antifreeze has alcohol in it :) it doesn't wanna be frozeeeeennnnn Last edited by dan, muthafucka!; 10-24-2006 at 10:36 PM. | ||||
