| Re: I begin carrying today Remember how I said cop defensive behavior varies state to state because of different laws etc? Well hella georgia doesn't allow Open carry without a permit, and in a vehicle if you have a gun it either has to be unloaded or in plain view, or in the glovebox. What gill was warning me about probably happens 100x more in georgia because the cop sees the gun laying on the seat or whatever, and gets all cop defensive how cops get, "DONT YOU MOVE, HANDS UP" etc. Where as in NM, you can conceal the gun however/anywhere u like ur car, and don't legally have to inform an officer that you have a gun in the vehicle. That being said NM cops are probably more used/comfortable with that risk, unlike georgia. So my previous post where I said it varies state to state on how the cop acts is hella accurate. Also to annon, my internet lingo is way different than how I actually talk. I dont say hella because I think its cool, only because I think its so hella dumb if i hella say it a lot it doesnt even matter because its just the hella internet! hella! | ||||

| Re: I begin carrying today Gun crimes are universal and to protect themselves cops, no matter how used to seeing a gun, uses extreme caution. i know more people than live in ga puberson but none of it matters because you have read hella gun laws. I am sure cops in your parents suburban neighborhood are pretty lax as it is being it is probably an area with low crime. The area where you would most likely use your firearm, high crime areas, the cops will not be as lax. If your mother doesn't take you to bad areas you shouldn't have to worry. | ||||
