i got that truck from my father in law and it has some miles on it but other than that and a few small spots of cancer on the body nothing was wrong with it. yesterday i pulled out of the parking lot and i noticed some antifreeze on the ground. i looked under the hood today and saw that the thermostat housing is leaking. thats not a serious problem as i can put a new thermostat in with a gasket in about 15 minutes and not hurt my back too much but it's fucking cold out and it just figures. it can;t spring this leak when i first got it and it was fairly nice out.

hopefully you'll get another somehwhat warm spell at some point but based on your other thread sounds like it might not happen, but i havent seen weather from the states for awhile so i dno whats goin on

it's not gonna be warm enough to really do it in comfort for some time. i'll bring it to the inlaws and put it in the garage with an electric heater and get it warm before i start. if i am too cold i'll get pissed and break something

So if like, okay, totally hypothetical situation, say if you break down on the highway and one of us picks you up...are you saying that if we put the airconditioer too cold, you'll get pissed and punch the window?

That's one of Murphy's laws for doing your own automotive work, It's always too cold when you have a repair that has to be done. Most likely getting pissed would lead to a broken knuckle...
