It's like Sony's Walkman line... no difference. The name is iPod but there are different kind and different generations.

I personally have 2300 songs on my iPod taking up over 40GBs of 60GBs. I perfer quality over quanity. Which iPod, short of one Korean made Mp3 device that doesnt hold shit for songs is the best sounding player out.

it would require you to always be around a wi-fi access point in order to use that feature. Being online all the time is a far strech.

That's bs bro. The treo 650 is online connected to the internet all the time [as long as you are in a coverage area], along with many of the phones/pda's out there [if you have the plan from your wireless phone service]. All that needs to happen is a software client that can download the files to the phone, and there needs to be enough memory on these phones to store the music.
A device being online all the time is already here.

4 gigs doesnt cut it for me.. I need to have all my dave matthews band music wich in total is 2 gigs.. All my pink floyd music wich in total is alot more than 2 gigs.. and that little shittling would be full already.. 20 gigs is good for me

well, with the treo's case its going through the cell network, not over wi fi, so thats more of the exception. wait til wi max is available then everyone will be online all the time
