i guess people are pissed over this x-box. i guess quite a lot of these machines heat up and turn off after like 20 minutes.

i guess they decided that they had to get that thing on the market before the ps3. has some gliches

they are not gonna win a suit. i'm sure the unit comes with some sort of warranty. if he contacted the manufacturer he could send in the unit and get his money back or a new unit. it's not like it caused a fire or anything. the guy is trying to cash in and the judge is gonna laugh at him

yeah microsoft is going to win.

first off as the suit claims that his unit overheats, he was given the opportunity to send his in for repairs, or full replacement within a day to 3 days.

second the units come with a full one yr warrentee, so any problems in the first yr are covered.

Third, read what hes asking for in the suit, the full recall or replacement of all 360 gaming concoles, this is just a winy bitch that wants to ruin everyones fun cause he had a problem with his.

He could have had a new xbox 360 within the same week if he just called their service line, but instead he went this route.

For him to win he would have to prove that it was the design of the xbox 360 that caused it to overheat, that it is more than just his (which of course it is, there have been a few complaints about the units, but in all honesty, i do believe its such a small percentage of the availalbe units, that its just as comman as any high end electronic devise) that microsoft knowingly shipped it with this flaw

none of this will happen, microsoft will win, hell i doubt it gets anywhere near trial

You can't get much out of that lawsuit, it's not like the xbox caused damage, and i'm pretty sure there's a 30 day warranty.

Even if the case had merit, which it won't because Microsoft will fix or replace any defective equipment, they will offer a free game or two to the class action suit settlement and it will be done. Case Closed.

Do a seard for 1, one and/or year you will not find what you're looking for.

Also, Microsoft expected about 3%-4% of systems to be defective. They're is actually only about 1.5% of them that are defective. Heard it straight from our Microsoft Representative's mouth. Also, if systems were in fact over-heating don't you think microsft would do a recall? Like the Rep said to me "Thats a liability for us. If it was over-heating someones house could burn down. Someone could die from that kind of defect. It's not a risk Microsoft is willing to take." Which Microsoft has proven. Microsoft had a handful of complaints from overseas about the xbox's overheating and it was due to the power cable. So they did a volentary recall of the power cords. Although there were NO complaints in the U.S. of it happening, they still provided all the stuff a person needed to get a replacement cord - Worldwide.

Also, shortages... Microsoft shipped every company all the systems they ordered 2 full weeks before it was release. If Wal-Mart ordered 2 million, they got 2 million.

Now I've heard from people there are rumors some companies are witholding systems until closer to christmas time. But rumors being what they are... who knows.

But what I do know is what the microsoft rep. told me. She's a super cool lady too.

I may be an xbox fanboy, but I will speak what I know as truth as such. If I know a certain thing is a defect I'll straight up admit it.

well i guess i was wrong about the length of the warrenty, but they still fix or replace it extremely fast, if you do happen to have one of the faulty ones.

yeah, they send you a box via overnight shipping, that gets shipped over night and then they will have you a new one in 4-5 business days.
