The title pretty much says it all. My cell is complete garbage. I got it like a year and a half ago, a white Krzr, an alright phone for the time, but only 6 months after I got it, the front plexiglass face to it cracked, and has spiderwebbed all over since. Add to that the fact that the phones battery wont stay chardged for more than 8 hrs even without making a single fucking call, and the fact that it wont turn on half the time anymore, and the fact that it glitches out and gives me these screens of multicolored fuzz pretty often now its time to get rid of this piece of shit.

I have insurance on it, but im not paying $50 bucks to get the same piece of shit a second time, so i think im going to try and convince my family to split my number off to a second account in their name, so i can get discounted pricing on a new handset. Even if that cant be done, I think im going to try and get them to just get a second account if not. (I cant get my own cause when i was young, or i should say younger, i defaulted to Cingular on my first phone and still owe, then there was the mess with my ex and verizon a few yrs ago when we broke up she downloaded $100's of dollars of songs and programs so i just stopped paying)

Im on verizon with my families plan, so if i can get them to open this new account, Im thinking about getting the new LG Dare. So far I think this phone is sweet. My favorate feature so far from looking at it is the 3.2 megapixel camera in the cell, best on the market in the US.

Agreed, when I leave the house I don't need to be available to anybody. It was only a few years ago the only people you saw with a phone glued to their head were teenage girls. Now the cellphone companies have convinced us we need to be on the phone 24/7. I realize some people need the service for business reasons but that is only a small percentage of the general public.

For me I just prefer having a cell, hell i dont even have a hard line anymore at all.

Im a techy, i grew up in a world with it, and am all about it. Would i say im a sheep, not really, I just personally love adult toys

Since I hate having a watch on, cell phones are good for a quick time check. But other than that I hate talking on the phone.

yeah i had the LG 6000 a quite a few years ago and it was probally the most durable phone ive ever had, my razr and Krazr both took a shit on me in under a yr, dont think ill ever buy a moto product again

I'm all about Blackberry. I have both the 8700c and the 8800. The 8700c has been dropped so many times, I could throw it against the wall and it would stay intact... Cept maybe the battery cover I guess.

Personally I really like RIM products myself, but unfortunatly for what I use my phone for,a blackberry just isnt quite the right fit for me.

I actually mentioned this to the Bagman a few hrs ago, but ill say it again anyway

When I was working on that project, I actually concidered getting a blackberry, but now that email isnt my chief concern the features of a true smartphone just isnt quite the right feature set for me.

What frustrates me most is if I wanted a blackberry, I could upgrade to a World Edition today, with no contract changes whatsoever. But to change to the LG Dare, Samsung Glyde or the LG Voyager, I would need to change my contract to be compatible with the hardware.

Right there I call bullshit on Verizon Wireless. So a true Smartphone is compatible with the Americas Choice Family Share plan (ie Blackberry) but a media phone like the Dare requires you to upgrade to The nationwide plan? Further there Is no Americas Choice Plans anymore, they seem to have been replaced with the Nationwide Plans. So what you do is release new hardware exclusive to your carrier, fine, you would expect that, its what makes this country great, competition. But now you have loyal customers, who have been with you for years, and you tell them that even though you have a contract with them, to get new hardware (and most of the higher end new handsets on Verizon require a Nationwide Plan) youn need to upgrade to Nationwide and sign a new contract.

There Is absolutly no reason for this aside from snaging a few extra dollars a month from their loyal existing customers, and forcing them to extend their contracts just to get services they were already entitled to in the first place

fuuuuuuck a blackberry. I have one for work, i am on my 3rd one in a few months. I have tested their durability and they did not pass.

Why the fuck would someone want email on their cell phone is beyond me.
