I smashed the shit outta my finger a couple days ago. Since the i have developed a pocket of blood under my nail about a quarter inch in diameter. My best friend told me to drill a hole in it to release the pressure as did my old lady to poke it with a hot needle. My mom told me not to fuck with it and let it heal on its own. What do you guys think?

no no no, don't do it yourself. my father had the same thing, drilled it himself, and drilled down into the SUPER sensitive skin underneath his nail. if you go to a family doctor they can do it perfectly, real quick like. it won't heal on its own.

drill through it with a needle or a pin.
put the needle on the nail right above the blood spot. put some pressure like you are trying to poke the needle through. start to roll the needle forward and back in between your fingertips. this will cause it to "drill" into the nail. when you get through the nail a drop or 2 of blood will release and it will feel 100% better. that is the only way to relieve the pressure. used to happen to me all the time when i was wrenching. release the pressure and it will feel better

Made it through and FUCK that hurt went it broke through. Quite bloody. must type one handed now.

if you would have used a pin or a needle like i said it would have been netter. with a needle you can feel when you are about to bust through the nail and you can go easy. with a drill you could do it too much.

Eh, Im at work so no needles, maybe is the first aid but i didnt think about it, anyways intense pain is gone. Son of a bitch is still bleeding ever so slowly.

it's still bleeding cause you went to far. if you just barely get through the nail a couple drops will come out but thats it

you might wanna disinfect that, unless you disinfected your nail and the drillbit before hand.

Get a meat cleaver and a blow torch. Hack off the effected fingertip and cauterize it with the blow torch...
