   | the new whip i didnt wanna jack the other new car thread so started me own now that i got a pic of the new whip  runs surprisingly well... my first manual tranny (settle down tomo that's transmission in car talk) and i had to drive it home from buying it in rush hour traffic downtown toronto so that sucked lol. great fun to drive, the perfect project car for me. already started with the souping up... swapped rear speakers out for some 6x9 pioneers, they got great bass and hide well under the stock grill. none of them flashy, make-ya-license-plate-rattle big box parabolic dish-esque fucking subs for me. i need to wait for the head unit which sux... might swap the front speakers while i wait. fucking car doesn't come with a tach though. i mean who the fuck designs a manual automobile without a motherfucking tachometer?! rotors are warped too. so it looks like im out again tomorrow hunting for more shit, i have aftermarket hunger!  | ||||

| Re: the new whip Manual trannys pwn! I wish I still had a stick. That car with a few inexpensive mods can be the ultimate stealth mobile. Cops won't even notice that. It looks good. And Honda rotors will warp out in less than 12,000 miles unless you drive like an old man. PS- over torquing the lugs will warp the shit out of them too. Most I've ever gotten out of a set of honda rotors before having to have them turned is about 25k. PSS-Never marry a woman that can't drive a stick. (I need to go back to the Ideal woman thread and add this to my favorite woman.) | ||||

| Re: the new whip yeah man driving stick has made me realize that everyone else out there is driving auto cuz there is no other way people would dick around in traffic the way they would do if they were driving manual. it does look disappointing stock but wtf u expect filla. it's a fucking honda civic base model. the upside for me is that it's super light without power windows, power steering, or a/c so it can rip hard without a great deal of hp. the heater kicks in FAST which is awesome. anyway looks a thousand times better with rims on it so i'll be doing that and more when the weather gets tolerable. till then, it's just rotors and a tach but due to light weight it's pretty zippy otherwise with the manual so i'm happy with it ... but the more i get used to manual the more im getting addicted to it | ||||
