| 20 oz soda for an extra $1.99 | Re: oldsmobile alero niiice. Alero's the only oldsmobile I really like. I'd want 2 door, 5 speed, black. Sister bought an Olds Achieva, let me tell you, piece of shit, still running, but the thing has had more problems than you would belive, more $$ in repair the first year, than the damn car cost. Alero's are good tho, buy it nigga. |

| Zazoul | Re: oldsmobile alero my buddy has had an alero since 20,000 miles... its just got over 100,000 now... The only problems he said he's had with it our broken motor mounts and had to get two new power window motors. He's fucking religious about oil/tranny/coolant changes though too. |

| Freak | Re: oldsmobile alero i'm the same way dude and i'm a mechanic. my car is like 4k over for it's oil change right now. bud, it's really not that hard to do the oil and tranny fluid yourself. the oil is very, very easy. i would say if you watched them do the tranny fluid once then you could do it. you actually have to take the tranny pan off. thats how you drain the fluis. then the filter assembly will be bolted down with like 1 or 2 small bolts. replace it, put the gasket on and put the pan back on. thing is though you need a torque wrench that reads inch pounds to put the tranny pan on correctly. |

| Hence, my self-loathing | Re: oldsmobile alero It's a pain in the ass to do your own oil changes now, because of the disposal rules. I have to save the old oil and bring it to a recycle center and pay per quart or some shit. It's easier to go to jiffy lube and wait 10 minutes. Beep. Done. |

| Hence, my self-loathing | Re: oldsmobile alero The only experience I had with an Oldsmobile (can't remember if it was an Alero or Achevia) was in Florida, a rental. Final day of vacation, leaving the resort, pouring rain, stopped for gas, and after fillup started the car, and forgot something so I opend the driver side door got out, back in and closed the door, which promptly caught the driver side windshield wiper and riped it off the fucking car. (what kind of asshat design is it when the wiper can leave the windshield and get snagged by the fucking door?) So With like an hour to get to the airport to leave, I had to drive with one hand leaning over in the passenger seat to see out the windshield to see where the fuck we were going. When I got to Alamo to return the car, the guy says, Any problems with the car? I reached in the car and handed him the Wiper blade arm and said have a nice day. |
