Have any of you heard about this? It didn't recieve much attention.. and was snuck into an emergency spending bill, an 82 Billion dollar bill to be exact.

A national ID is in effect in some countries, their implementation was stalled and debated over many times, this is not the case in our country. It was passed without debate, no talks.

The bill included a provision that these IDs must include a "common machine-readable technology." This would allow any company or person to collect information on how, when, and where this ID might be used. The card must be machine readable, and is up to Homeland Security to determine the details. That could end up being a magnetic strip, enhanced bar code, or radio frequency identification (RFID) chips.

RFID tags emit radio signals, which would allow the government to track the movement of our cards and us. The Department of Homeland Security has shown it likes the idea of RFID Chips.

The Real ID Act was introduced late 2004, but was rejected. Because it was included in such a vital bill, there was no possible way it could have been turned down. (Bill included funds for the war in Afghanistahn and Iraq, as well as funds for the Tsunami that hit asia). The bill was passed by a vote of 368-58.

"More than 600 organizations have expressed concern over the Real ID Act. Organizations such as the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators, the American Library Association the Association for Computing Machinery, the National Council of State Legislatures, the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the National Governors Association are among them."

"To get a new approved license, or conform an old one to Real ID, people will have to produce several types of documentation. Those records must prove their name, date of birth, Social Security number, principal residence and that they are lawfully in the United States." Which means the state you live in is 100% responsible for verifying every single slip of paper that is presented to them. Which leaves the state with a shitload of work. And no federal funding...

"Once Real ID is in effect, all 50 states' DMVs will share information in a common database and may also verify information given to them against various federal databases. In addition, it's very possible that such data will be sold to commercial entities: Some states already allow driver's license data to be sold to third parties."

Yeah they tried to implement the id scheme here last year on the back of the fact that we have so many ethnic (extremist) minorities, that they could attack us especially with our troops helping the U.S. in Iraq.............everyone knew the real reason behind it......once it's implemented, your on the grid..............some would say.......well hell yeah i't would stop any bombers..............passports can be copied, birth certificates can be copied etc etc...............and they really wanted this bill through, and it was going to pass one way or another, and then 7/7 hit............50 dead in London............and the bombers were British born muslims who were brainwashed by clerics, spouting hate about Britain while claiming benefits from us..................one dude, Abu Hamza, is wanted in the States for murder, and in Yemen.............he was claiming over $100,000 a year from the taxpayers.............and the govt wouldn't deport him as seemingly we're not allowed by the EU to deport crimnals to countries that will give people the death penalty..............because it would be against his human rights................what about the human rights of all the ones he's killed...........??...........

we have about 10 of these fuckers here...............they got hamza out, to lebennon i think...........but who the fuck wants these guys......we don't, and who the fuck are the EU to tell us what to do with our fucking country, they're a bunch of wannabee leaders who weren't even elected, and yet their still trying to shove their constitution down our throat, the French told them to shove it..............the Dutch told them to shove it.............the Austrians are about to, if they let Turkey into the EU.................

i hate to sound racist or anything, but when Britain was at war with Germany and Italy, all Germans and Italians were enturned....(captured) and put into holding for a while to figure out who was who, etc etc..............we have over 5 million muslims or something in the U.K. and yet they walk the streets and blow shit up.........and no one can tell me it's not muslims were fighting, it's terrorists, to me they're one in the same, and cut from the same cloth...........if they're not, then let them prove it to us...........yet when we need answers on things they clam up and wont say shit about who or what they know.

and with Bush being run by the bilble belt in the states, what we have now is the crusades all over again............did we not learn anything from the last time...........??

I hear you, in America we too are faced with stupid law enforcement issues. One of the biggest failing of the post 911 Bush administration, has been the failure to control the ports and borders of the USA. Illegal immigrants and students with expired visas still get away without problems here.

The USA was founded on the backs of hard working immigrants that came here to work towards a common goal, the American dream, build a life here in their new home, and help the nation grow. Now immigrants come here to sponge off the available welfare and benefits that they should not be entitled to. And they send their money home. Because to them this country in not their “home”. Oh yeah and while the people come here and live amongst Americans, they protest and complain that out government doesn’t do enough to help the shithole countries they came from. Bush has failed to secure the ports and borders of this country, plain and simple.

Racial profiling is under attack also. Even though it can never be stopped, it is not to be done, yeah right. The problem with this policy is that profiling works. Profiling is a valuable tool that has been used by law enforcement for centuries. But now we can’t do it, as it might hurt someone’s feelings. All Muslim’s are not terrorists, but most terrorists today are Muslim or Islamic. So we should ignore this fact? I’m, not advocating removing anyone’s personal rights, there is a way these things can be done without degrading people.

As far as the UK and Europe in general, the EU is to me the scariest and biggest mistake of the Century. History is a good indicator of the future, especially when it comes to humanity. The EU is a bad idea, originally designed to allow Europe to more easily compete with the US Economy. The EU has the greatest chance of leading to World War 3 than anything else over the last half century.

Religion and Money cause more global conflict than any other issues. To create a union of countries with a broad spectrum of Cultures, Religions and economic issues, and establish a uniform currency, in which all countries can either benefit or suffer from equally, is a disaster waiting to happen. Prime example is the talks to bring Turkey into the EU. Can you imagine Turkey and Iran in the EU with a majority rule coming from France, Germany and England? Once Muslim countries are allowed in the EU, they will begin to do what they always do, try to take over and change everyone’s culture to Islam. (This is ongoing already in a few EU countries already. So what happens when these religious and culture clashes become insurmountable? Countries will want to leave the EU. And then they will need to determine their worth and monetary distribution from the EU. Not good. The EU will fall apart, it’s just a matter of when. And when it does everyone is not going to just take their ball and go home, their going to blame each other and start killing each other. Disaster…..
