Time: Summer, 1998
Destination: Chicago Comic Con
Length: 15 hours going, 18 hours coming back
With: a girl i used to work with, Jessie


So.... i was very into comics at the time and decided to go to the Wizard World Chicago Comic Con.. in the dead of summer with a girl from work.. who was just STARTING to get into comics... driving was horrendous.. apart from the fact that there is nothing but cows and road construction ... the heat.. omg.. the heat.... i couldnt drive at all.. she had to drive the whole time... horrible... once we got to the hotel we crashed.. i was up at 6 am... and was already dressed and carried every hardcover BONE book i had..

along with some Marvel mags (xmen, daredevil, etc) and the new book.. Battle Chasers from Joe Madarera.. i want him to sign my gold booty cover soo bad...



well... im like in comic book heaven... i met STAN LEE!!!!!
im like.. yo.. i can die now.. lol

I had to "get jiggy with it" to win a wrap around non issued xmen chromium cover in frame.. oh man... made such a fool of myself.. but had stan lee sign that and a #1 Magneto for my boyfriend (my husband now)
Got all my other books signed.. stood in line for hours but so worth it.. Chilled by the Spawn mobile and the Blade Motorcycle..
jessie barely left the hotel.. lol .. in hindsight she was probly getting stoned.. it never occured to me till now.. since i wasnt tokin then..


After an 18 hour trip back from Chicago .. with more heat .. and mad traffic.... i slept for 12 hours straight.. ate spicy african goat in my sleep... which i have barely any recolection of..
It was great..

well, I went to mount washington with my friends, we climbed it in my friends mazda 6, it was rainy out so we had to go real slow but it was worth it once we got to the top, AMAZING views.

On the way back the car got hit by lightning and all our hairs stood up and our bodys went numb, scariest thing ever. we pulled over to take a breather, then we continued on home.

One time on the way to a florida state football game we were speeding and a cop got pehind us and looked to be running our tag before he pulled us over, and the car in front of us fucking swirves off the road and then back on and the cop pulled him over instead. Im glad because getting pulled over sucks, espically if you have bud.
