this is national news. fucker names stan"tookie" williams was the co founder of the crip street gang and convicted of 4 murders. he has been in jail for like 26 years and is sentenced to die on december 13th.
his lawyers are trying to get the governer, arnold to take the death penalty away and make it life. a lot of celebritie are speaking out for tookie including jessica simpson, snoop dog, jamie foxx, russle crowe and a lot more.
they say he has changed cause since the late 90's he has written several childrens books, talked to gets about not joining gangs, and this is the kicker, he has been nominated for the nobel prize every year since 2001.
these people say that tookie can do more good alive in prison cause he can continue to speak out against gangs.
others say that he is still in close contact with high ranking members of the crips and he has not denounced the gang to this day.
wtf???nominated for the nobel prize.

my thoughts are give him the death penalty. that was his sentence. he was convicted of killing 4 people and you can be pretty sure he was involved in more murders than that. he was on tape killing 1 person during a robbery. he had the guy at shotgun point and the guy said take all you want and tookie killed him anyway. he was asked why and he said cause the guy was white and he wants to kill all white people.

my personal opinion is this guy is a scumbag and he is using the children book writing shit as a ploy to live. no matter what that is his sentence and i don;t think thats a good message to send out. that tells kids that they can commit crimes and possibly get their sentence over turned if they do something good.

follow to see what happens. what are your thoughts?????

He needs to be killed. It doesn't matter how "reformed" you are after the fact, it's the fact that you're responsible for and the fact that you need to pay for. It's nice and all that he's encouraging kids not to join gangs, but hey, go all the way, fella, and let the message be, "Join up and get a needle in your arm". Show the little impressionable children that crime doesn't really pay in the end, no matter how many rappers try to dissuade that opinion.

I'm amazed that so many people I know/knew don't even know WHY he's on Death Row in the first place. They seem to just think he ended up there because the State wanted to make an example of him and that he's really a peace-loving all around good guy. And hey, he might be now but he's not being judged/executed for how he is now, it's for the crimes he committed and should rightly be punished for.

And, on a somewhat related note, ever since I heard of this man years and years back, I thought he had the dumbest nickname I've ever seen. I keep thinking of Chewbacca, or Garfield's teddy bear.

I love how people use the race card to defend the fucker. In California there have been 12, read TWELVE executions since 1978. 10 have been white, one Latino and one other black. IF anything the system would be racist against whites, would it not?

On top of that, 5 seperate witnesses have stated that he admitted to the murders... even bragging about the sounds that they made as they died (He refered to the Taiwanese that he killed as "buddah-heads"). So much for the Defense's claim that the witnesses are 'fixed'.

the nobel prize thing gets me too da. also i get a kick out of reading that jessica simpson and other celebritis are getting behind this. i have a hard time believeing that jessica simpson actually cares about tookie.

i think he should fry no matter what he has done since his snetence. you know he was convicted of 4 murders but you can bet your ass he was involved in more than that. had to be.

kids books and speaking has made him nobel worthy.

i told my wife about the nomination and she had it right when she said nothing is "sacred" anymore. you nominate a tookie williams and it makes the award less prestigious.
