Thinking of starting a little biz.

went with my buddy to the skatepark tonight and i had my camera with me, he wanted me to take some action shots for him so he can put it on his myspace. The pics came out looking professional quality and sick as hell. I'm thinking of starting a little business. basically I'm thinking people would pay me to take pics of them riding their skateboards or bmx bikes or whatever, doing some sick tricks or whatever, maybe even get some moms wanting me to take pics of their kids playing baseball or whatever. Anyways, do you guys think people would pay for that? here's a pic i took tonight so you guys can see the quality.

edit: that isn't even at the highest resolution my camera can shoot.

I wouldn't say that's pro quality, If you're using film you need to get higher speed film everything in the background is blurred. Maybe you could photoshop it or something, and yeah you can totally make money doing that crap.

Just take some pictures photoshop the shitty ones, show them they're picks and then go to walgreens or walmart and print them out on the kodak picture maker, don't print them out at home, the ink will smear and leave them looking really shitty

i took the pic so it would be like that, the backround shows motion man, shutter speed doesnt really get any better than that, notice how the bike and shit isnt all blurred?

Yeah, werd man, I wont use the blur effect in the backround, I just thought the motion adds to the "action-sports" or whatever.

cockface, that's actually pretty fuckin good. a little more practice, and maybe photoshop it a bit (red eye, copyrights, etc) and you'll have something good goin on. you should make a simple website to showcase your talents, with prices and contact information and shit. you could probably even advertise on craigslist. just don't let big brother find out or he'll want a cut of it too.

Thanks a lot guys. Keep in mind that pic was taken at like 3mp, tonight I'm going to take some at 8mp. Also, I think I know what mexi is saying, he's saying anybody could take a pic like that or something, but It's a bit more complicated than that. Setting up the shot, adjusting the aperture, adjusting the shutter speed, and having a good sense of timing, that bike is coming out of the bowl at like 25 mph.
