just heard on discovery channel that just in new york city alone birds cause 200 million dollars worth of damages every year.

the other was there are more than 60 diseases you can get from bird droppings. a lot of them can be inhaled by spores in the droppings and eventually 80% of the population will be infected some time or another with a bird related disease.

what if we exterminated 99% of them. kept a small portion of clean birds from each cpecies and cloned the fuck out of them

In our garden we get a lot of the typical birds. pigeons, starlings etc.

But the other day this huge pheasant appeared. These birds dont live in London, I live in a dense urban area. No idea where the fuck it came from, but my cat definitely didnt like the look of it.

let me write you a little story, negros

April 5th, 2006 Baghdad, Iraq. A passing by bird-flu infested crow fly's into a skyscraper, he falls 75 stories to his death, within hours hundreds of insects start tearing apart and eating this diseased animal, now thousands of bugs have the disease. They spread the disease like wild-fire, about a week later a friendly dog is outside playing fetch with his owner in Saudi Arabia, The dog gets bit by one of the mosquitos, now he's infested. The owner needs to fly to America for bussiness, he brings his dog along for the trip.

April 15th, 2006 JFK Internation Airport, New York City, NY. The owner finds his dog and they leave the airport, The dog has spread the deadly flu-virus to the other animals on board and they all go with their owners to their homes. Soon the animals spread the disease to their owners, the owners spread it to their family and friends, and once it starts spreading upon humans, when will it stop.

Moral of the story is the world is coming to an end. and I need to burn one.

We have more to worry about with the international travel of 3 world humans than animals. Viruses must mutate to target specific species, or to migrate to other species. There is no proof that this is or will happen in every case, just as there is not proof that extincting a particular species will end certain diseases. The extinction of only one species will end human diseases, that species is Humans.
