strain of pot?

For me, it's currently Apollo 11, but I’m always on the hunt for the 'holy grail' of pot.

Apollo 11 has a predominately pine scent with some lemon and a hint of pepper. The buds are very frosty and extremely potent, which is important to me as I'm certain it is to others, since price is determined by weight and getting more 'bang for the buck' only makes sense. Not only that, but smoking is bad for you, after all, so the less you have to toke to get high, the better. Speaking of smoke, this smoke is the smoothest I've had to date - no harshness, and a clean, light taste. The high hits you very quickly and is very cerebral and a great 'idea generator', which I really enjoy.

Another strain I really enjoyed was something my brother-in-law picked up in Ft. Lauderdale called Purple. It was pricey, IMO, @ $500/oz, but it was very potent, although a little harsh - not certain whether it was due to being improperly flushed, or just the nature of the strain. The high was a mix of body and cerebral, but definitely more body. It wasn't a couch lock, but close.

Yet another strain worthy of note was one called Romberry. It is a cross between Romulan and Blueberry. The buds were beautiful with deep purple, almost bluish streaks. The scent had a strong citrus smell. The smoke was pleasant. The high was a creeper, but powerful. I'd walk away from a smoke session feeling let down and then ten minutes later BLAMMO! This one was definitely a couch lock - great for watching TV or a blank screen.

What are some of your favorites, and why? If you don't know what your dealer is slingin, ASK! Remember kids, knowledge is power.

I've had a couple of strains that I was told. Usually the most potent is the ones that the dealers don't bullshit on the name and just call it "really good pot."

The best "real" strain I have ever had, and the best pot I have ever had for the matter, was the White Widow I grew. Was delicious, and very potent and smooth smoke. My god I wish I was still growing.

I would have too say the green type that is cheap and gets you high but i don't smoke anymore

i've never smoked a 'strain' of street marijuana (herb i buy off my dealers), but i've had multiple strains of medical marijuana. I'd say my absolute favorite is this shit called Rainbow Purple Urkle. It was by far the most potent weed i've ever smoked. It was literally completely purple and had the most fucking delightful aroma ever. god that was some good shit. i believe i paid somewhere in the ballpark of $65 for 1/8 at the West Hollywood Center for Compassionate Healing. I still have the bottle it came in as a keepsake.

the whole name calling is gay cause u never know, first once a dealer that doesnt get all that great of weed gets some good its almost imediatly bubblegum or some shit, 2nd most of the seeds u get online just come out of the same bin anyway and i'm sure the people that grow it go by what they order online..

the best bud i ever had was green, crystally and had some orange hairs but not that much
even if a dealer says they got white rhino or some shit i dont trust them. I can almost guarentee it is not the strain. they are just saying that so they can charge more for the bud or to make it look better. i have seen people try to pass off total shit weed as good stuff by calling it a strain

unless you see the seed pak, i wouldnt trust what the dealer says it is

i'm a big sativa fan so i'm pretty excited by my current bags of sour diesel and jack herer. i'm not the biggest sour diesel fan but i will definitely rate jack herer as my favorite. takes a bit more to get blown than the sour diesel but after two bags i might as well be on mushrooms pretty sure it's a pure sativa because it is a clear high and the most mellowing weed i've everrrrrrrrrrrrrrr toked

around my area theres been a big boom of bc northern lights, i thought you could only get good bc buds in canada and small parts of the northwest, but theres alot here in maine. is orangy, has lots of crystals, alittle harsh of a smoke sometimes, but a nice chill high for only 35-40 an 1/8. all of my dealers can get it now.
