i sure as hell am. it wasn't as horrible as i thought it would be but i'm glad christmas is over.
my wife got some nice things so that makes me happy. my son is getting ready to move and when they get all set up in a couple weeks i'll go over and hook up his computer in his room and then hopefully him and i can talk via the net a little more. i'm gonna install a key logger on his machine so i can monitor what happens for a while.
hopefully the stores and shit will get back to normal soon.

i'm gonna install a keylogger cause my kid is 9 and he has never had a computer in his room connected to the net. the most he does is get on his mothers and check wwe.com for a few minutes maybe a couple times a week. as he starts using it more and more he will doscover message boards and forums and chat rooms and i want to know what the ufck is happening.
he is only 9 and his mother don't tell me shit about what is going on with him. if something happened like he ewas in a chat room and some pedophile fuck started in with him i would not know about it.
for a while after he gets it i'm gonna install a key logger. i don't want to hit him with a bunch of rules on the net when he first gets it. i want him to go on and have fun. the more he is on the more i'll show him and the more i'll tell him. also the more he is on the more he'll figure out.
at 9 years old it's not fucking intrusive. he's my son and i have a right to know.
thats just the way it is.
it's not always gonna be there but it will be for a while

i'm not mr snoopy parent that wants to give no privacy. shit, i want him to have the net and surf all day and burn videos and find some forums and fun shit to do. i also have to teach im and monitor for a while. there is a lot of shit out there on the net and and he's new to it.
little by little i'll tell him what he can and can't do. i'm the type of parent though that lets the kids control their own situation. i will tell him not to do certain things and then leave it up to him. i'll moniter what i can from home but i am not into blocking off half the net so he can't get to it.
i'll tell him no and if he listens he'll have anice pc in his room to do some shit. if he don't listen i'll yank that fucker right out of his room. if he fucks up it's his fault. nobody to blame but himself.

there is a method to my madness.
nothing wrong with monitering what your kid does. when you have kids you'll understand. as the kid gets older the monitering will become les or more depending on how well the kid does what he or she is told

Make sure you install some good anti virus shit as well. Its easy for young ones to download shit by mistake.

It must be weird getting access to so much on the internet at 9 years old. So im guessing the keylogger could be good, as long you uninstall it before he gets old enough to figure it out.

fuck yeah. i got all the software ready. antivirus and firewall. key logger do i can watch whats up for a while.
he is growing up in a different time than i did and a lot of us did. i want him to be real familiar with a computer and the net long before he gets older. shit man some places you can't even fill out a job application anymore. you have to go and do it on the net. i don't want him to be lost down the road.

Yeh early computer knowledge will be a huge benefit. I started learning pretty young at school, but it was just basic games and paint programs, back when apple was just the Mac.

i didn't know how old he was and when you said getting ready to move i thought ya meant move out, so my brain said "he's about 18ish" and i thought a keylogger was a pretty fucked up thing

from 14-16 all I did was look at porno. imo, thats not such a bad thing, I turned out just fine. its good for a kid to get things figured out.

The key logger might be a good idea till he's a bit older... The internet has alot of weird shit a child that young shouldnt see, but im positive we all know that. I was on the net around 8^ and my primary use for it was porno and online games.. Parents never caught me cause I was more computer savvy then they were.

if your giving him a computer and put it on then whatever ur kid yur business, but if its his moms and she dno how to set it up or whatever i'd be careful of a keylogger if she's a bitch like we all know she is... if she finds that shit she might flip shit on u not seein yur point of view or sumin and think u were tryin to watch what she does or sumin... but i dno the situation i just wouldn't install a keylogger on a computer at another house, could be illegal in someway but i dno... i just know i'd want whoever put a keylogger on my comp in my house to get in fuckin trouble

i appreciate the recomendation but it's my pc that i bought and i still have the reciept even though it's a non issue. about her finding it there is no way. she knows nothing about computers and even if she did i know how to bury it in there. you'd have to know what you are doing and be looking for it to find it.
