| Re: ALERT MS FAGS Never ever load a RC (Release Candidate) on a live production system, unless you like reloading your OS from scratch. And BTW MS released it's SP3 Blocker kit the other day, to allow users to block the SP3 update for a period of time. MY guess is that Windows XP SP3 is the beginning of the destabilizing of Windows XP. There will most likely be more and more "bugs" and instability built into XP updates over the next few months, in an effort to drive people to Vista, which Microsoft is having a lot of trouble selling. Case in point, the last Security Rollup patch for IE 6 released last week had a bug in it that causes Lockups and errors in IE that crashes the browser. Coincidental that this comes at a time that Microsoft is heavily pushing people to upgrade to IE7? I think not. If anyone still is using IE6 and has been having IE Crashes as of late, there is a fix for the "bug". Let me know and I will link you the fix. If your IE6 crashes while loading MSN.com, you need this patch. | ||||

| Re: ALERT MS FAGS maaaybe not... SilentSteve installed this last night, and fucked up his Windows install. After rebooting he got to the windows logo with the progress bar and wouldn't get passed that screen. He booted back into Linux, and I imagine will have to reinstall Windows on that partition. | ||||
