New features and changes in this milestone that require feedback include:

· Improved ease of use through: better password management, easier add-on installation, new download manager with resumable downloading, full page zoom, animated tab strip, and better integration with Windows Vista and Mac OS X.
· Richer personalization through: one-click bookmarking, smart search bookmark folders, direct typing in location bar searches your history and bookmarks for URLs and page titles, ability to register web applications as protocol handlers, and better customization of download actions for file types.
· Improved platform features such as: new graphics and font rendering architecture, major changes to the HTML rendering engine to provide better CSS, float-, and table layout support, native web page form controls, colour profile management, and offline application support.
· Performance improvements such as: better data reliability for user profiles, architectural improvements to speed up page rendering, over 300 memory leak fixes, and a new XPCOM cycle collector to reduce entire classes of leaks.

Today Mozilla released the first beta release after months of alpha releases, which I have been using. Remember beta releases are complete as far as features go, but there may be some bugs so proceed with caution.

Anyone running 3b1? I'm connected to the nightly build server, so I am running 3b2pre. I am so cool.

It's pretty slick and fast. Im loving the one click bookmarks and the tags. The memory leak issues have been made better. It actually uses a very small fraction more memory with less tabs open, but once you have 10+ tabs open you can tell the difference by using it and see the difference in the task manager.

At least it's not using 750MB of memory when I have it running for 2 days without closing it w/ FF2... the most I have seen it was 200MB, and that was after running for 2 days. The new Gecko engine is rendering pages very nicely. No hickups yet.

Been testing it....Seems to be fast as shit. No Extensions yet from what I've been seeing.

Ad Block Plus and PDF download works fine. I'll probably edit the other old ones dependency requirements later to see if they work..

Yeah I've gonna try the edit routine too, but I'm not so concerned. FF 2 works well enough to wait till FF3 is full release and running stable with all the Extensions. Right now I'm just testing FF3.
