Day 39 - Flowering Which was Friday...
Hi Girly: Thanks for the good wishes. I am wondering if my ladies stint with a week of only indirect light hurt the growth but they are still good size buds so far.

Hi Fly: All growers of this say to harvest at 52 days, 56 days tops...so my chop day will be on a Friday at 54 days. The smell is a general citris scent. When a leaf is pulled the scent is a really strong citris/clover/mint. I am envious of the huge cola on your kush...

so...tell us what you found in your research of the ak99...you keep dropping little teasers like 'this strain is supposedly unstressable'(they did seem to come through the bad times pretty good )...and any titbits you could pass on would be appreciated for my grow...

Hi Phez! It is going to take me a few crops of this stuff to do it justice. Hmmm ... yes they are supposedly really resistant to stress, The third generation is the most potent. I made a clone and am going to use it as a mom to jump straight to Gen 3 :blazed: With Cindy99, you can't really use nutes at all and they just grow themselves using plain water, pretty much any ferts causes burn. AK47 can take up to 150% nute doses so AK99 is in the middle. I just used MG N ferts water based stuff at 12-4-8 for veg worked up to 3/4 strength with no troubles and prolly could have gone full strength (I think I did for a few waterings). but I am moving away from ferts tho and am using water soluble bat guano for flowering and next crop will be using Peruvian Seabird Guano (PSG) for veg so I don't know if nute issues apply as Dread once told me he uses those and never has to flush since it is organic and he just mixes it into the soil pregrow. I have discovered that AK99 takes more than just dropping sprigs into shotglasses of water as only one of seven rooted. Next crop will be made with a bubble cloner. Most, actually all of the growers of this stuff say to harvest at 52 days, 56 days tops. As it will be a Saturday, my chop date is June 4 at 54 days. Ummm...there are two phenos: A short bushy type that puts out huge buds, the AK side which is good, and the better, taller Cindy pheno that has a slightly smaller yield but has the stratospheric Cindy sativa high. Some say you get to see stuff on it, mostly a cartoon effect with zero race or paranoia. :) Saved the last bit for last...apparently if you grow out two packs, you can find the rare grape pheno that smells and tastes like grapes. The odds have been worked out to be roughly 1 out of 6 females is this ellusive keeper. So with two packs you have good, but not fullproof odds of finding her. Hope this helps and I'll post more info as I find it :blazed:

Those evil bagseeds....you give them a home, feed them, give them water and light as they need it, and they're still being trailer trashy about it!!
My god, if you ever wanted to see proof that bred seeds are better, then here it is!

My oh my, those ak buds are bloody nice, still look all sugary like the candyfloss, very broad & round buds there...

And my kush's cola is all I've got to really show for the past (nearly) 3 months of work. Can you believe out of 5 seeds, I end up with 1 plant? Blooming pants those odds, not plants, pants!!

But citrusy smell?? There you go, I always thought AK would be more pungent or have a slight poopy/skunky smell, but it sounds tres nice. Think you've gotten more than his Phezzieness interested in this strain. And 52-56 days is great, you should be harvesting about 7 days before me.......(to the winner go the spoils!)

Initially, that was my plan, Es...took two clones from each of my three fems and one male clone before I trashed him. I was going to make seeds outside but none of the clones made it except one of Kelly. I will make seeds tho at some point as I will need them too and like the idea of spreading the love around.

Day 55
After 45 hours of darkness, they were deleafed, posed for some tasteful nude photos outside, lead back down into my basement, chopped up and hung to dry. Even though it sounds rather morbid, I still pretty happy about the whole thing I cut down Sheila and Betty Tard as well. The whole affair took four hours and I used up an entire box of 100 paperclips to hang everything. I also ran out of room on the line so wound up hanging Sheila as a whole plant. My first grow netted 3.75 O's off 7 plants and the three AK99 ladies easily have that beat I think just from the room they occupy while hanging. I took lots of crappy pics in hopes quanity makes up for the quality hehe. It is always nice when the cam consistantly focuses on the background...

Kelly - Had high hopes for this one as she started out great but she started in a smaller pot and was transplanted after the male was pulled. She developed a serious N deficiency in the last 10 days or so and ALL her leaves were yellow. I didn't really know what to do so just hoped for the best.
