Having studied and taught martial arts half my life, going to Japan has been a life long dream. That'd be fascinating to see Japanese culture first hand.

It's always a nice feeling when people enjoy your grow pics. Seeing other people's successful grows always inspires me to do better next time. So if my grows ever had that effect its a great thing. Or simply as you mentioned, simply enjoying the viewing.

You know you really dont need much space to grow shrooms at all. You can literally do a grow in a closet, or even a couple of boxes under your bed.
I'ts almost inarguably the easiest psychoactive to grow in a stealthy fashion.

If you ever look shroom cultivation and want to try your hand, throw me a message, I'll send you some spores. Oh yeah, and welcome to MIIDAJ of course :)

Anyway, here's the latest pic of Zoe. She seems pretty happy with life at the moment. I'll be putting another 4 of my PF cakes (mushroom grows) into the fruiting chamber tommorow. So hopefully some cool new shroom pics will be on the way next week.

Zoe's coming along nicely, I see. Although, she appears to be gettting a bit of the claw going, might want to back off on the nutes a bit. Might just be the picture, though.

How long do you plan on vegging her? Is this the only plant you got going right now? You said you started it from seed - what if it turns out to be a male? Do you have any backups?

The day i took the last pic i changed the nutes entirely, and just today i got a new opague tub and some of the extra thick reflective sheeting.
I also reduced the nutes to 70% and spent about an hour talking to the local hydro shop dude. Good guy, very helpful.

Susio i honestly haven't got a time frame in mind. I'll keep her going for as long as it takes to grow enough bulk to bare a shitload of clones.
Yeah this is the only plant atm. This strain was soooo fucking lovely that this one seed is my one shot at keeping this strain going.
If you smelt and tasted the bud youd know why I'm soo motivated to see it bare fruit.
If she turns male? Well you might not believe this susio, but I have NEVER had a plant go male in over ten years. Why? I have no idea. Maybe I'm so unlucky in general that karma figures she'll let me have my success with weed. :)

Seriously though, there are obviously a few ways this grow could fail, but you never know if you dont try. I could have got another batch of some damn nice seeds and increased my chances of success, but that would mean letting this strain go...and i wont let that happen without a bitch fight.

Nice to hear Del, the syringe is kinda the equivelant of 'seed'. Depending on how you set up your grow, one syringe can be used indefinately to grow pounds of shrooms. (Liquid culture's, spawn, etc.)
It's always nice to meet another shroom grower, what strain did you grow? and do you have any pics?

Here's a few shots i got last night with the help of a $2 magnifying glass. I had no idea a shitty M.G could give this cheap assed camera so much better results in close ups. Still kinda shitty, but a hell of a lot better then without it.

Here's a cake at 100% colonisation. I birthed 4 cakes tonight and they're in a 24 hour dunk. The purpose of a dunk is to allow the mycelium to absorb and replace the water that evaporated during colonisation. As shrooms are 90% water, good hydration is essential for healthy growth.

I bought some funky little shelving units today. I haven't built the fuckers yet, so I'll have to post the pics tommorow. I'll be doing a double end case tommorow for them 4 cakes so a few more pics will be comming.
If all goes to plan I should have a couple of ounces of dry fruit in the next week or two.

Yeah, one syringe has the potential to last months.

I started out with Amazonian, and eventually tried Golden Teacher and B+ as well... I had most success with the Amazonian

Sadly I don't have any of my pictures, and It's been over a year since I had my last harvest. I think it's time for another grow.

This plant is just for taking clones from. She's gonna be vegged indefinately until she's bared enough clones for my grow, and then i might throw a male in and let her seed.
This strain is THAT good that a sack of seeds would be a fucking good thing to have.

Da man, anytime spent not growing shroomies is too much time IMO. It's one of the coolest fuckin hobbies you could have i think. Before i got right into it, it seemed boring as shit to me, but the more you learn the more you wanna know (and try).

If at any stage you want some more strains, if any that i have you dont have, let me know. Swap prints like baseball cards n shit.

The only strain you mentioned that i have is golden teacher. I might try them soon. The next major grow is gonna be south american. The batch my print came from has done the rounds and EVERY grower who tried em said they were awsome. Good weight even after drying, huge yields, kick ass potency. Sounds awsome, i cant wait to get em started.

Hey pplz,

Most stoners like checkin out grow pics, so i figure as long as there's some form of developments or variety in the new pics, i'll throw em up.

Zoe, taken tonight. 3rd sep.

I've put up a lot of pics of zoe, but none of the set up from a distance to show how it's set out.

400W HPS above, supplimental fluro's on left n right, and a standard house fan blowing fresh air into the closet. There's a box fan to the far right of the closet pulling fresh air in from a second floor window.

This is one of my PF cakes. The whit fuzz you see growing on it is a sign of healthy growth (rhyzomorphic growth). It indicates fruiting to come in the next few days. The last cake had about 20% of the rhyzomorphics (fuzz) and the fruiting was pretty damn healthy. These 4 should be crazy.

This air purifier should help things along nicely. Apparently an ioniser helps growth of shrooms a lot. Plus the 4 stage hepa filter keeps the contams in the air far lower. Increasing the chance of a successful healthy grow. Not to mention, the thing takes 'odours' out of a 40 cubic meter air space. The lovely weed stench should be held at bay a bit cos of this sucker.

These are my papivars (poppies). They still got a way to go, but they're getting a lot bigger. They stayed the same size (sprouts) for ages and i was getting worried they weren't gonna grow right out. The last week they've doubled in size with the fresh spring air and sunshine.
This new heat has been great for the poppies and drying the various animal turds for the BIG mushy grow I'm setting up to do.

Last pic, is of the Cherax Destructor. A crustation that lives in australian fresh water. I was given a fish tank I'm going to use as another fruiting chamber. Two of these suckers came with it. One died two days ago, he was old, and beaten. I think it was just his time to go. A discreet ceremonial toilet flush saw the end of him.
But this little sucker is kickin strong. See how healthy the blue of his exoskeleton is (haven't thought of that term since high school). But yeah, he's a pretty funky little fucker, and his claws can pinch like a mother.

Anyway, hope everyones doin good. I'm starting on a small outdoor mushy grow too seeing as the weathers turning so much better. Cubensis wont grow in very low air temperatures, so waiting was vital. Pics of that grow will come in as they happen. I got the area cleared ad ready to go, spawn material is in cold storage, so it should be started within the next week or so along with the fruit pics of the cakes that are in the F.C now.

Seriously though, i find growing to be one of the most interesting and satisfying hobbies. Seeing, learning, and watching flora grow is such a calming thing to get into.

After a long day, smoke a doobie, and go check on the growth and progress of ur babies, It's a damn cool thing IMO.
Especially with this new shroom hobby, cos you literally see a major difference overnight or after a day out.

I might start a thread of cool mushy grow pics if thats cool Da. Is there a thread for awesome grow pics? I can look at grow pics for hours. especially when toasted myself. :Grin Twist:

Anyway, thanks for the kind compliments n shit guys. It's mad fun being able to show the fruit of ur labour without the worries of bringing someone to ur grow in reality. I'm sure you guys know what i mean.
