I woke up this morning and checked on the grow after taking out one layer of the fruiting chambers cover, and found all three cakes fruiting like a mutha fucka.
check this out

I wont keep posting pics of cakes, it'd have to get boring, but these 2 i thought you guys might get a kick out of.

Anyway, I'm out dudes, munchie time, :)

These things took a long ass time to get to fruiting. Most cakes are a half pint, my smallest ones are a full pint. A couple are a pint and a half. The bigger the cake the longer they take and the less chance they'll work. So I'm lucky as hell to have done this well so far.
I got 8 cakes in fruiting now, and I'm moving them all into a kick ass fish tank i got now. Aquariums are the best to grow shrooms in I'm told.

I finally took them clones today. I'm gonna go a SOG grow so i cut 20. I guesstimate that approx 20-25% will fail, and a few more will just be weak and slow rooting, so 20 should be just perfect after deaths and weak clones are eliminated.

This is my button mushroom grow, the agaricus bisporus. Just the common supermarket white button mushrooms, nothing psychoactive or overly fascinating. But i'm really considering trying to start a mushroom farm one day. So growing normal edible varieties is pretty worthwile for the experience.

The white stuff you see is the mycelium. That'll keep thickening up unti it forms little white balls/clusters. Those then develop into pins, which further develop into full size mushrooms.

I'll take some new pics of the poppies today when i work on the outdoor mushroom patch. (that ones gonna take a hell of a long time. Mushy's need very specific climate conditions, and Melbournes damn cold for cubensis.) Ah well, with some luck summer will be good enough for em.

Clones, dead, all, dead

ahh well, I'll have another crack at it in the next day or two.

Anyway, sumthin different this post. Been a while, but the rooms almost halfway done. The extractors are installed in the cieling, one of two beams has been mounted across the room, and all 2400 watts will be utilised.

For now its only one plant, but she's gonna be a nice one. :)
Oh yeah, and the mushrooms are from a second flush (cycle) so they're not overly impressive.
Images have been dubbed in to show the best clarity of the best fruit ive had as yet.
But yeah, here it is, 'i was wasted',it'smy excuse and im stickin with that shit.

i'm surprised all of the clones died. what do you think was the cause? you might want to build yourself a bubble cloner - it doesn't get any simplier

Hey Susio, da,

Honestly man, could be one of several things (or a combo obviously).
1. powder hormone sucks ass! clonex, use clonex, clonex is good.
2. dont cook ur roots for 12 hours on fairly ass kickingly high temps due to a shitty heat mat.
3. Orrr, it could even be the saturated cubes that didnt drain well at all.

Summers just kicked in over here, so with 36celcius days i doubt they'll need any form of heat suppliment.
I'm thinking of going some perlite in the bottom of the inc for humidity. Might bang a few into sand, what the hell, maybe do some in vermiculite.

WHATEVER WORKS!!!!! i need to save this fuckin strain man. I'ts gold.

Anyway, quick pic of zoe a few weeks into flower. (i should check the date i posted that she's in flower. I dont even know how long its been. fuck i barely know what day it is lately

She's startin to stink a bit dude for sure. You can see the trichomes starting to develop and the firsts of the hairs are turning amber. Still a long way to go developmentally, but she looks like she's gonna be a sticky stinking big old whore.

(btw, i have ONE sole clone, a branch snapped and decided to cut and incubate it. Seeing as i had clonex, the heat blankets stable now, and i've found the balance of an ideal humidity (70-90% RH)

Oh also, i got some blue berry train wreck, some Noosa Gold (kinda like a mango strain from Australia's sub-tropics (13th generation seeds also). And a bag of mixed top shelf strains. Some pure blue berry, some Early girl, and a few others mixed in there.

The rooms now fully sealed with white reflective, and I'm working on making some large light weight mylar panels. (kinda like painters canvas' but with mylar where the canvas would be.

Anyway, check out the lady's look now, she's definately gettin a lot sweeter :)

great pics as always fingers! i like the way you trained her so that your utilizing all of the space you have there. a lot of peeple don't take advantage of LST cause they're afraid to hurt their girls, but it appears you've got it mastered. keep it green.

i love reading grow journals, i think i have better knowledge of doing it then alot of people and i've never even tried... i'm sure once i did it for a couple years i'd have it down no problem.. keep updating fingers!
