I managed to procure a bunch of seeds for free recently. I have 9 of an unknown strain, which were inadvertantly soaked in black absinth (80%) and I don't know if they'll be ok. What do you think?

I also have a small bag of low, lowrider; the perfect strain for me.

The only problem is, all the growguides on here are gone! Get them back so I can worry about where the hell I'm going to grow them instead of how I'm going to grow them!

Hail ChickenWing: The main thing is preplanning, if you hve a place,buckets,dirt and light you are good to go. Absinthe eh? mmmm Good licorice floaty drunk hehe. Don't know if the seeds are any good after being soaked in wood alchohol or did some just spill on them? Either way, I guess just germinate them and see if they sprout. don't procrastinate *arnold voice* Do it NOW! :) I think there are quite a few growers who will help out here.

Wahey!! Definately.........One thing about growers, we LOVE to help other people grow the good green herb (try saying that 1o times really fast!)

I agree with Mr Green-goatee, I don't know how well they'll do if they got soaked in the absinthe.......I'm just thinking that alcohol is pretty much what they use to 'pickle' stuff, so if the seeds got a good dousing of absinthe I think they might be dead? If it was only a wee splash, they should be alright, just dont be too surprised if they sway around in their pots calling you names!

Um yeah, pre-planning is everything. Make sure you have your soil, perlite, pots and lighting arranged BEFORE you germinate........that way you can test things out and make sure your grow area is going to be ok & whatnot, also gives you the chance to work out any problems in advance!

Anyway, goodluck HCW, I would love to see another new journal on here, speaking of which, I have a lot of work to do....................

Thanks for the words of encouragement! As for the absinth soaking, the seeds were resting in a shot glass (very smart) when I poured out a shot of absinth for myself. Everyone starting screaming and I didn't know what the hell was going on. They were promptly fished out, but were probably pickling in it for about 10-15 secs. Do you think a small, normal lamp will do the trick? Apparently low lowrider is a very hardy strain.

but I'm thinkin if they were only in there for that short amount of time,they should be aight..and they right you aint bout to know unless you try..

also wha do you mean by a small normal lamp?

anyhow I'll be getting some info up in the grow op soon..damn I'm thinkin I should have pasted all that shit on my pc,that I prevously typed..anyhow give us a few days I'm sure the peeps here could have alot of good info up in just a few days...

Never mind what I said about the lamp, I was speaking shit. That's another thing, I have no lamp. It's quite possible that I'll have to try growing them outdoors. I live in quite a cold, windy place, but I do have some sheltered areas and the strain is low, lowrider, so it could be ok. Anyway, it's about time I went to check out that new grow guide.
